This isn't true. Claymores are a very strategic equipment, meaning you have to know when to place them and at what spots. For example, if you place a claymore right by the door, they will run by it and take minimal damage; what you need to do is place it a few feet from the door, still in stealth, but where they will trip the claymore and die, rather than running right past it.
Next time you insult something, try doing some research or testing it out in different ways yourself...
