Re: How to use the Riot Shield
Riot shield is intend to be more of a close quarter combat, therefore you should pick perks that suit that fact; Perks to choose: throwing knife, the one that allows you to sprint infinitely, the one that extends your bashing range and the one that makes your movement quicker.
Instead of slowly moving towards your enemy by crouching, you should sprint at him, make sure that you sprint sideways to him so that you're not exposed (W and A). This way you are covered (notice; if you're using this technique make sure that only half of enemy is seen at edge of your screen.) This technique also gives you advantage of terrifying your enemy.
Throwing knife is essential because it prevents enemies from shooting in your lags, and is "Saviour" when you face 2 enemies instantly... Also if enemy is stationary and is anticipating your exposure or he's is stupid, throw a knife at him- surprise him. This perk is by far more efficient then bashing your enemy; you don't have to approach him. This perk is also essential if you're leading a squad. If enemy engages your wingman, then throw a knife, or if you still didn't choose this perk then charge at him, right in front to block his bullets (make sure you're not sprinting when you obstruct his bullets or you'll most likely die.)
Make sure that you secondary weapon has... tactical knife, or something that's called like that. Basically your knife is always readily equipped in your other hand while using secondary weapon. Choosing dual wield of secondary weapons is unwise, because primarily you'll be using shield, but use secondary weapons when you enter building occupied by enemies that aren't aware of you. Solely for that purpose I recommend "tactical knife".
Sticky bombs aren't a problem at all. One sticks onto you, charge at your enemy (sprint at enemy using technique mentioned above), you won't get points for that, but you'll take him with you.
Also flash bangs, etc. should be least of thread to you. If you happen to be flash banged then you're retarded shieldman. You should remain very close to your opponent; you should always equip throwing knife; you always be capable of charging your enemy and bashing him while he's vulnerable, or despite you should always be capable of bashing your enemy.
P.S. BEWARE OF SHOTGUNNERS, ESP. DUAL WIELD. If you face one, you may do following: withdraw from fight; regroup with ally to assist you; throw a knife at him while he's reloading/sprinting at you.
