I quit nicotine (chewing tobacco) after 10 years of doing it. It was by far the hardest thing I've ever done. I would quit, then something stressful would happen and I'd pick it right back up. Keep it up. It will definately be worth it.

Just remember: once you get past the withdrawl symptoms, you will inevitably be tempted to smoke at some point. You will rationalize it to yourself saying, "oh, i'll just have one while i drink" or "oh, i've had a long week, I'll just have one." Don't fucking do it. That is the EXACT reason that it is so hard. Once you stop, you have to be nicotine free...period. No cheating.

Not to be preachy, but take this from someone who has quit nicotine and started many, many times.
