There was probably a thread on this long ago, but since the forum's kinda dead why not...
Basically just post a pic of what you drive (theres some new members and some may have gotten new cars) the real reason I created this thread tbh is to get an idea for a new car. I've been looking for a while, and I have to get my top 5 priorities for a car in order. So if you've got any suggestions that would be awesome. I don't remember if I have a pic atm, but I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8S Recently looked up the specs... 126hp @ 6000rpm 129lb-ft @ 2400rpm ~2500-2600lbs 0-60 in a solid 9 seconds I believe. And it's a 4-speed auto. Also found out it has no side airbags, another reason I want to trade it in. Oh, and I just realized I do have pics, they're from when I had a flat tire but they'll suffice. That's the sench... broken foot and all ![]() Just for lulz ![]() Bastard nail ![]() After putting on da spare ![]() It's a solid car tbh, 89,000mi without a major problem. Starts up right away in the winter, is never garaged. Doesn't feel underpowered but certainly isn't great in any way. It's very reliable and is major part of the reason I like Nissan. also if the mods care to merge this with the old one, whatevs. so googogogogo and suggest some good cars kthxbai

The new Charger does look nice. And finally has a good engine... the 3.6 Pentastar is pretty solid. I'm assuming you'd get a V6, as the SRT is very expensive to purchase, very expensive with gas, and higher insurance.
Okay... the car's I've been looking at... Nissan Sentra SER Spec V ![]() VW GTI (or possibly the upcoming GLI, I did like it at the auto show...) ![]() ![]() ^the GLI And a few others... including the Volvo C30 (I know! WTF) The only concern I have for the Sentra really is the notsohot styling and weight. The concern for the GTI/GLI is the reliability. I love German cars (my dad has an Audi Q7) but the Q7 has already been in the shop more times in 3 years than my Sentra has in 7... So i guess out of those two main cons, the Sentra is the lesser of two evils? Hmm... Fresh suggestions will be greatly appreciated, there are definitely some cars I probably overlooked.

2007 Scion Tc pretty reliable so far. Just replaced brake pads in front for first time (55,000 miles on her). Aside from the rattling of the spoiler being loose, it's not a bad car. The latest model has increased bhp to 180 from 160 so that aint bad.
2008 BMW E90 M3 need I say more? 1967 Suzuki T200 doesn't run but it's a sweet little bike I hope to one day restore. |

How much is insurance in the US? Obviously it changes with age, NCB, car, previous claims/accidents, points on license & area etc, but ballpark figures would be cool.

abc, for the scion, m3, and a 69 datsun full coverage on all we pay roughly 150-200 dollars a month. I don't know the exact number since I just give him money for my part. For living in a major city that's not bad at all.

The tC is definitely one I'm looking at, it's marketed toward youngins like myself... but I kinda want to be unique. Will definitely check it out... doesn't it have a large sunroof too? Also, do you still have the M3? abc, I paid/pay for everything except insurance, so I don't know. I just know it sux to be an 18yo male with 3 accidents (none my fault). But that also is why I just want a somewhat sporty coupe or sedan, no convertibles or sportscars, I want to be polite to my parents... they're paying for it after all. But anyway, I forgot to kinda give guidelines... Less than $20,000 is ideal, $25,000 would be the absolute max Coupe or Sedan is fine (hatchbacks are fine as well) but no SUVs, unless it's unique or there's a particular fun aspect about it. I'd prefer FWD... RWD is just annoying in the snow, as the car will be my DD (envious of those living in warm climes) Manual or Automatic... prefer manual but don't mind an auto Doesn't have to be quick, but anything that's a welcome change from a 9-second 0-60 would be nice. 6-8 seconds perhaps... doesn't need to be a rocket, but that just adds to the fun to drive factor. I don't need anybody searching cars for me, I can do that. If anybody has some that they know or have had that are fun, just throw them out there. Even if they deviate a little from what I want, it doesn't matter. Thanks guys. And some nice rides... POSTPIX!!!!!1ones!!!11

Haha I remember that F150... I did look at some trucks for a while, but since I don't tow anything and the only real benefit is the 4WD for me I couldn't justify the gas mileage. But I love trucks nonetheless

Hmm. My friend has a 2000 Toyota Tundra 4.7 that we have a lot of fun in. His gas mileage is shit, but I dunno, it could be fun as hell to have a truck.

Hmmderp. Will have to look. But the fuel economy is a HUGE turnoff, I feel like I'm already wasting so much on my little econobox

Personally I drive a '96 Nissan Maxima stick which I love except for the color (maroon). 3.0l v6 190hp. Picks up very well considering its at just above 180k mi.
This is what you (and I) want:

You, my friend, have great taste.
Honestly, it's RWD but it may prove to be just too irresistible to me. DamnyouGencoupe I should look at the 2.0T, but I love the 3.8 and can find one for 20k around here, amazing. I wish I lived somewhere warm :/ but if I can find a good deal, I could manage a set of snowies and hopefully there wont be a huge hike in insurance, or I'd have no problem with a 2.0

I feel like that about mine. It's an underpowered econobox, but I'm gonna miss it when it's gone....

Prepare for generic swedish family cars: 2 Volvo v70 a '98 and a '04. I don't bother much about the performance but they have a low 140 and 170 hp in said order. We're contemplating on buying a new one and mash the '98. As I'm snowboarding this week I can't provide pictures but I'll get to that when I get home, not that it's much to see.
