Maybe you have a form synesthesia that causes things to taste differently when you see certain things. And yes synesthesia is a real disorder though it is usually something like a optical thing like see every letter and number in a different colour.

Get yourself a water filter jug.Fill it up and rinse a few times until ready for use.Refill it and wait for water to fill up jug section.Get a big glass (i prefer the Guinness 250th aniversary edition).Rinse glass inside and out with water from jug.Place jug in frige,glass in freezer (next to the Vodka for unexpected houseguests).Load up MW2, play 3 games (any game mode will suffice).When you reach the suitable point of frustrated anger take glass from freezer,take another glass from cupboard and again rinse with water from jug.Take a chilled beer out of the beer fridge (notice this does not mean place beer in with food,must be kept seperate so interfering house members do not need to fuck with the "warm in cold out system).Pour chilled beer into frosted glass place 2nd empty glass in freezer, return jug to fridge. Now you are ready for combat proper.Notice after this process has been rinsed and repeated several times that not only are you a much better player than anyone else but your taste buds never even existed in the first place and you can in fact eat or drink anything,even foods you are allergic to , now in fact become your favourites.

if at any point in this process a house memeber interferes, or asks a stupid what are you doing question, bitchslap them immediately.

They need to understand the importance of said process, which after time becomes a something akin to religion.

I have taken your point of "beer tastes awful" into consideration and frankly if your water tastes bad at least drink something usefull.
