I don't know how many of you are aware of this event, here's a quick blurb from the website;

The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember.

Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.

So basically, you grow a moustache for a month, get people to donate/sponsor you. All for men's health and Prostate Cancer charities.

I've created an MW2F team. (Called "MW2F Tache Team") All you have to do to join (mainly speaking to the guys here, unless the female members want to grow a moustache, I'm not one to judge) is go to the website, Register and select "Join a team". Once registered search for MW2F Tache Team and join in the fun.

Pictures are obviously required next month, so we can all laugh at how bad my 'tache is.

Oh I would if I could, but if I didn't shave from the start of November(and started clean shaven) to the end of the month, I would probably have a barely noticeable tiny bit of hair.

I would honestly LOVE to do this and was all set, until 2 weeks ago when my employers informed me of the strict "No Facial Hair" policy.

I'm half asian and half white so the white side has taken over my face and body. I'm hairy as fuck, and would love to participate in this. Keeping chin strap thought because completely clean shaved I look like a fucking cat.

We brownies can easily grow a mustache in three days. I'd love to participate, but unfortunately I'm a minor, and its probably not proper dress code to go to my debate tournaments with a full grown mustache.

I would but my employer has a policy against growing moustache and beards. If I did though I would have a huge moustache by the end of the month. I grow facial hair super fast.

It's called No-Shave November. Good thing i've been working on a beard for the last couple weeks, bit of a headstart. Not a tache fan, but i guess i can do it.

I have a fair bit now, but I dunno how noticeable it'd be in a month from completely clean shaven. I might for it though, but the last time I completely shaved my tash it felt odd afterwards.

This, i'd understand if it was a full grown ZZ top style beard but a goatee or just a moustache like what's wrong with that?

It's mostly to keep the employees looking "clean and professional", which can be understandable, however I feel that people should be comfortable in their own skin.

However, fast food places tend to require clean shaved men(potentially women also) so their facial hair won't fall off and into someones food. Which is kind of hypocritical because a lot of fast food employees don't wear gloves when preparing meals. They could dig for gold in their ass and put it on your burger and you wouldn't know it.

I wait tables at fancy dinners and I guess they want me not looking like a hobo/having hair fall off my face. However, on the shift I worked yesterday about half the guys had facial hair so it would appear the rule isn't exactly enforced.
