Yeah it's easier to aim with a mouse, regardless of aim assist. There could be other factors but I don't see this as a definitive answer to the PC vs console argument.

More of an ego stroker.

Edit: If I recall correctly ViS even said that you can do things with a mouse and keyboard that you can't with a console controller. So it would make sense that PC gamers would have an edge.

I mean, it kinda makes sense, console gamers use their thumbs, index fingers and middle fingers on each hand.

I use all off my fingers on my left hand and all but my pinky on my right, meaning I can perform considerably more actions.

There's no need to be butthurt about the statement. I did say that you can do more with the better controls that PCs have but I also said that the level of player skill in terms of mental performane is higher on PC.

Why?

PC has better controls and more potential in every department, as well as the price tag that comes with breaking into it. This attracts the gamers who actually play as a sport and want to maximise their enjoyment of it rather than indefferent time-burners and young teenagers.

People who pick PC as their platform are either the lucky minority with willing parents, the dedicated or the smart (I pity serious gamers who play FPS on console).

EDIT: Yeah, well... I hate not being quoted completely or out of context even if the result is consistent with my viewpoint. The reasoning is far more important than the product of said reasoning taken in isolation.

Regardless, your second portion of said statement hasn't been quantified. Sure, we can say that the PC gamers are more mature and the console gamers aren't as much so. As for being able to make a definitive answer that the mental competence of PC gamers is in fact that, is ludicrous, from one "study". Whilst probable, not definite. If you take the top end of both sides you will still see similar tactics, I would venture to guess.

The top sides, sure. Just play for enough time to gain a representative sample size on each platform and you'll see that what I said is true. I'm not even going to bother with citing a study or conducting one myself (because one doesn't exist) because it's so obvious both in experience and as a logical followup to each platform's attributes.

And which part of the post made you think that I was judging you? Do you always become so self-conscious when in a situation of even mild conflict? If so, you should assess yourself and determine exactly which attribute of yourself you irrationally hate so much.

I, through personal experience, can support ViS's argument.

I have played several hundred hours of CoD4 on PC, and have played about 500 hours (20+ days) on the PS3 version.

I don't need to explain, as ViS already has.

Sure logical it would make sense. I agree with you there. I'm just not going to give a definitive answer on who is better without expansive studies and/or more experience. I've only played COD 1 on pc and I did better on MP there than i ever did on MP console. Same person, in fact I was younger with COD 1, which only makes me assume that tactically I would have been less experienced. Yet, I did better. Could be that they are different games thus irrelevant yet tactics should be no different, or little difference, from the various versions.

Meh, judging was the wrong word, more like, improper assumption. I'm not going to lose any sleep, I just like to fully justify myself/be fully understood. Also I snide remark.

CoD1's a wildcard since it's fairly old and people continue to play old games for reasons dependent on circumstances during the game's period of activity. Modern games with direct parallels on other platforms are more valid for comparison. Not only that but said games also require a representative sample size to draw conclusions from, ala Wunda's hundreds of hours per platform and my similar experience. I'm pretty sure that I have nothing to gain from falsifying my findings as it would only make me look even better as a player if PC players are generally equal or worse than console players so I think it would be best reasonable to consider me a trustworthy source.

EDIT: For your information, I fully understood your post. As I said, I dislike being incompletely quoted or cited.

I see your point and it makes sense. I just like hard evidence on the matters so when I see things claiming to be fact without hard evidence I question the results.

It's the mouse and keyboard versus the shitty console controller.

Mouse and keyboard is far superior.

I play on PC and xbox. I've played hundreds of hours of CS, quake and doom on PC. And hundreds of hours of COD on xbox.

When I get around to getting a new computer I'll probably start playing COD on pc.
