Just in general, can my computer which ran MW2 just fine (high resolutions, specular mapping and shadows on, details high) run this game? Its not a great computer by any means, in fact its very old and makes strange noises but it did run MW2. It can run Battlefield 2, Assassin's creed, etc. I only ask because I don't want to buy the game and not be able to use it. Buying a new computer is out of the question for me since I'll be leaving for college next fall and this spring I'll be getting a laptop for graduation.

I played it on a friends XBox and its pretty sweet looking. The gun sounds are great (the sound of shells dropping is quite nice) too. I don't like playing Cod4 much anymore, and as some know I was banned from MW2.

But yes, if you could run MW2 fine, you can run Black Ops fine.

I don't really know what the specs are. Its an Old HP Pavillion a1630n (I'm just reading the front of it), with

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 4600+

Nvidia GeForce 6150 LE

2048 MB memory

250GB hard drive

We had some things replaced in order to run certain games, but that was years ago as well.

Hmmm... I think I'll take it back. You will have some difficulty getting playable FPS, but it might be worth a try.

If mw2 runs as you say (or at all) then it's a certainty that you've added a dedicated gfx card, until we know what that is then we can't pass on any educated judgement.

Mw2 actually never lagged up unless it was my connection, or the server of course. I took off the side of my comp and from what I can read its an ATI Radeon, but I don't know what model/edition or anything like that.

CPUz will tell you RAM, motherboard & CPU info.

For GFX card info GPUz can give a "rough" estimation for ATI cards. With a bit of detective work it's possible to work out, from the rough estimation, the exact card you have.
