Default Scratched Disc
So I kicked over my Xbox by accident when playing Black-Ops and ended up with a perfect circular scratch on the disc.

Is it a waste of time trying to get the disc repaired or has anyone had one successfully fixed?

Toothpaste, bananas, brasso, look up online how to get rid of scratches. If it's not deep you can try those things. I repaired a disc with Brasso that had some small scratches that were making it unplayable. But deep ones kinda suck, they just wont come out very well.

Also, this should be a lesson to DL games to your HD when you get them.

Had seen a few videos on YT using toothpaste etc, suppose I'll give if a go,what's the worst that can happen..

If I had installed it to the HD, I presume it still wouldn't work as the disc still needs to be read at some stage no?

I'm not a console fag but if it's installed on the HD you can run it even if the disc has that deep scratch from moving the xbox.

Yep, Joo's right, that's why I DL it to the hard drive, because as long as you got the disc (and its not in like a bajillion pieces) you can still play it from the hard drive

Step 1: Find someone else who owns the game.
Step 2: Sneak into their house at night.
Step 3: Kill everyone in the house.
Step 4: Steal their disc.
Step 5: ????
Step 6: PROFIT.

-go to blockbuster
-rent game
-switch good game with scratched game
-bring scratched game in and say it didnt work
-get money back
-go home
-play

There not stupid u know, they wouldnt give u a scrated disk in the first place, but you could go to blockbuster and get the disk re-layered by them.
