Default Create your own zombie map! (Not literally)

Just a thread where you can throw ideas about possible zombie maps you thought up.

One of mine:

NAME OF MAP: Fallout
YEAR/DECADE: 1950's
EXAMPLE IMAGE OF MAP: Just imagine Nuketown (the whole map, not just the playable parts) and Radiation together, but as a huge map.
DESCRIPTION OF ENVIRONMENT/THEME OF MAP: A nuclear testing facility where everything went wrong. Thousands of workers, engineers and scientists were killed during an accidental deonation. Or so we thought.....

You play as four Americans who were sent in (most cases sent *back* in) to examine the destruction. These people are a scientist (always when host, excluding SP), a mechanic, an engineer and a US Army soldier.

You start out in the center of the map, where a building was partially destroyed (Any Nuketown house). The walls are all standing, but the roof has collapsed. There is a pile of debris in the back of the house you can pay 750 points for to move, another to go up the stairs, and one in the "front door".

The Olympia and M14 are available here.

If you head up, there is one window, next to a staircase outside. There's nothing to buy here, but there is a good vantage point, so if you plan on staying in the starting house, open this up.

A mystery box spawn point is in a bedroom up here.

The front door leads to a street that has abandoned cars in it. You can open up a barrier (where the Jeep is near in Nuketown) to head onward. You'll reach the barracks/mess hall of the facility. There are several windows in the mess hall, and a wall entrance in the barracks. There is also a sliding door that costs 750 to open separating the rooms.

The KS23 and the MP5 are available here. Two mystery box spawns are here, one in each room.

If you open the back door, you can now head outside, where there are fences the zombies can break through. There is a metal gate heading towards the facility itself. The gate costs 1000 points to open.

A small shed in the backyard has the MPL available off the wall.

A long path separates the house and the factory. Zombies can spawn out of the sand of the desert (they can be caught early by a puff of dust where they're coming up). Another gate costing 1000 points leads into the factory itself.

The factory has two large floors. The bottom one has a large water tank that takes up about a third of the room (similiar to the one in Radiation, where A2, B2, A3 and B3 converge, just much bigger.) where other bombs used to be kept. However, it is unable to be entered or even gotten close to (a yellow railing blocks being able to jump over it). The mystery box always spawns here first. A small control room nearby has the power switch in it, along with an elevator. The elevator is 250 points to operate.

Upstairs is where all sorts of tests were done. There are 2 or 3 labs up here, along with another mess hall (though this was for the workers, the other for soldiers keeping guard over the facility), and a meeting/conference room. This area resembles the lowest level of Five, but with a more bluish silver color than greenish yellow.

The mess hall and barracks have the same entrances as the other one. The meeting room has two doors (with windows) the zombies can break through, along with another wall entrance.

There is a computer in the control room, two upstairs and one more somewhere else (Not saying! I'll leave it to you to find) that you hold X/[] for to partially unlock a "unreachable" area on the top floor. After all four, the Pack a Punch room is discovered. There are two wall entrances and 3 windows here, so be careful when PaP'ing.

Throughout the factory, you can buy the AK74u, M16 and MP40 off of the walls.

There are also three box spawns upstairs.

PERK MACHINES/NEW PERKS: The four normal machines are here, along with two non-drink machines, the Amm-o-matic (Max Ammo machine[actually was intended on being in Der Reise but was scrapped before release]) and TacMask (Tactical Mask, "Creepy Crawler" zombie gas doesn't harm you/impair vision. These cost 4500 and 3500, respectively.
NEW GUNS/WEAPONS: The Stoner63 and M60 both appear, with 100 round mags (the Stoner63 experiences a slight decrease in recoil).

The Skorpion also appears, sporting a 30 round default mag.

Fitting for the map, a Wonder Weapon called Fallout appears. It acts like a mini-nuke, setting up to 10 zombies on fire. It's a one hit kill until ~round 25. It has 5 shots per "mag", with 20 in reserve.

Can't think of PaP names for either LMG, but they behave similarly to the PaP'd HK21 and RPK.

The Skorpion becomes the Arakni (play on arachnid, of which a scorpion is), sporting a 50 round mag, increased damage and a higher rate of fire. However, it has more noticeable recoil.

The Fallout becomes (I have no name for it yet, help if possible). It has a 10 round mag with 40 in reserve. It can kill up to 20 zombies (OHK) until round 40.

That's about all I got for now. Feel free to use the layout I did to contribute, and feel free to comment about my idea.

You obviously put a lot of thought into this. You should actually draw a layout which would be really cool. The only thing I was thinking about would be a map that was pitch black. All players begin with python and flashlight like in campaign. The level is dark until the power is turned on. Would most likely be an indoor facility.

Thanks. And I would, but I have little artistic ability on the computer, and none in real life.

You're (basic) idea is pretty good, one question I have (doesn't have to be an in depth answer like the OP) is: What would the setting be? Like it could be good on a snowy one or something, maybe.

Spoiler:

That's a rough outline of it.

Admittedly not that great, yet it took me nearly two hours to do.

If it doesn't work right (size issues), just go to the link (quote then copy and paste)

I've played a lot of night maps in COD4 zombie mods. Being modern warfare and all you could use NV goggles, but as in real life they only light up what is slightly lit so you could only see 30m infront of you really. Looked very cool and made you think twice before you ran out into the open to get a new weapon or perk. Avoid the urge to turn the brightness up though...

COD owner - COD expansion pack owner - COD2 owner - COD2: BRO player - COD3 owner - COD4 owner - COD:WaW owner - COD: MW2 owner - COD: BO owner

This is getting repetitive.

Blinding green I'm assuming?

And well if you think about it, Nacht der Untoten and Der Riese were also at night, except you didn't have NVG's. Though it was a blast turning brightness all the way down on Nacht der Untoten.

I have yet to try that. Something tells me I am going to be scared.

And bonus points to people who cranked the sunlightintensity dvar up high and colored it red.

Only if its midnight, lights off, with no one else awake.

A cubic room. It will be called the CUBE (Crazy Undead Bastard Embassy)

As soon as the game starts zombies just materialize through the walls and you get raped. the end.
