Interesting if not rudementary bit of market research there, perhaps they should go and look at what steam are doing? (collecting hardware/software/connection-speed data from everyone and making pretty pie charts etc as well as developing games better)

It's amazing that over 1 month later, and Treyarch is still clueless why the PS3 version has massive connection issues.

Sigh.

I'm wondering if I should just shelve this game until spring, maybe by then they'll have the bugs worked out.

It's what I've done. I've shelved the entire series as of right now, playing GTA IV mostly now.

OT: I don't even play online, haven't in a while, but this is turning me off from the game a lot now.

50/50 whether I should ask this here on in Tech issues but it's entirely relevant to the OP:
when I run a connection test it always falls at the first hurdle (Connect to PSN Network: Failed) so I can't give them any upload/download/NAT info. Anyone know why this is or how to fix it? Obviously it goes without saying that I can connect to PSN despite what it says in the test.
