I don't know if there isn't a thread like this already. TBH I just skimmed through the first few pages of threads.

Anyway, what guns do you find that are, statistically, bad, but you always seem to do well with them? We all know that the Commando, the Stoner, and the AK74u are the best guns in the game, but do you ever run an oddball gun and surprisingly do well with it?

One of mine is the MAC-11. It's probably the worst SMG in the game, but for reasons unbeknownst to me I held a steady 3 KD with that gun, until the day I tried to use it on Array. It broke my streak, but I still use it for some lulz. Same thing with the PM63.

Another one of mine is the Enfield. I just prestiged so I've been forced to use it. I'm level 16 and I like this thing better than the FAMAS. I sucked with it last prestige, but this thing must fit my playing style perfectly now. It's a headshot MACHINE. I think my overall KDR has jumped from .85 to .91 since I started using it.

The M14 worked for me for a while. The M60 was great too.

Tbh I don't really consider them oddball, they just fill a particular niche quite well. The Famas/Ak74u are good at everything, but they can be outclassed in a certain way by a certain gun. Everyone just uses them cause they're sorta multi-purpose.

Hmmm... I got my highest killstreak with an RPK :S

I've gotten an 8 killstreak with CZ75 ext mag alone... but i'll probably use dual wield next prestige if I'm using assault rifles.

Along with the OP, I do really good with the Enfield. Also the M16, but I just use that every once in a while.

Skorpion is actually pretty good, along with the RPK and Dragunov.


But yeah, most aren't oddball (an example would be the M1A1 Carbine from WaW; no one used it unless you were 65-10th), just somewhat uncommon.


Overall, I try every gun once in a while, you never know what might work for you.

First of all, the Mac 11 isn't even close to the worst SMG. The Uzi is absolute shit, and the pm63, mpl, and kiparis have the same DPS as the mac11, but more recoil

OT: My highest KDR gun is the Spas-12 and I have a higher kdr with the CZ75 that I do with the: Enfield, Galil, M14, and the Fal.

I love the Mac 11, but my KD is low cause i hate SMGs in general and never know how to really use them... The Spectre is also amazing with its lowww recoil.

I haven't used the scorpion, other than that I pretty much like every SMG. They're not as shitty as you think, yes they statisticly get outdone but preference > power. If I enjoy using the worst gun and I can aim well I will kill the guy with the best gun with worse aim than me most of the time. I rush thus I like the SMG's mobility but I'm using the assault rifles with lightweight more than the SMG's because the AUG/Famas has a good hip fire spread and a fast firerate which allows me to rush effiently. I would like to see an increased mag size to atleast 25 on the mac, spectre and kiparis then I'd consider using them alot more. I'm not sure what my KDR with each gun is, but it's between 3-4 with most guns (overall KDR 3.8).

all the smgs with the right set up can be good , the worst 3(imo) would be the pm63, kiparis then the uzi, my favs at the mo are the mpl and the spectre, im also having a lot of fun (and success) just now with the shotguns, again with the right gear and tactics they are very good and underrated by some...

Of the three worst you listed, I mostly agree, but the PM63 is amazing. It has a lot of visual recoil, but it's actually pretty much spot on.

And yeah, the Olympia is my go-to shotgun when I need one.

I have alot of success with the HK21. However, everyone sings the praises of its iron sihts and I just can't stand them. The entire gun blocks out the bottom of your screen.

My favourite guns are the PM63, Spectre (one of the better SMGs, but the SMGs in general aren't much use), M14 and Enfield.

M14 especially, since the recoil is predictable, and it can kill in two shots.

Okay, maybe my comment on the MAC-11 was a bit of a stretch. :P Guess I have 0 kills with/0 deaths by the Uzi for a reason.

I used the HK21 a bit at a friend's house and it isn't bad at all, although the irons remind me of the UMP's... a single circle that is really obstructive :/ IMO the ASP is also the best pistol. The CZ75 shoots peas for me, it's really hard to get 3 shots on someone with the Python without having to reload and something about the other two prevents me from getting kills, can't put my finger on it.

I also had luck with the Stakeout although it has no advantages over any of the other shotguns (won't say worse until I know that it actually is :P) and you actually have to be accurate with it. The HS10 Dual Wield is good, but only on Nuketown/Firing Range, and you kinda have to camp even then.

To add to my already massive list, I also had luck with the FN FAL for a bit, until for some reason I lost my magic with it and went heavily negative.
