Anyone else want to see the next Call of Duty game in the most famous conflict of the cold war?

Edit: looks like my cold war idea was right

Yea maybe, it would be a change from WWII but alot of games have been about the Vietnam War

On a side note Another idea could be having the whole game based on the proxy wars in the cold war. I'd love to fight as the USMC landing on the beaches of Korea as part of the Inchon invasion, or fighting as US allies against communist regimes. Like the Afghan Mujahideen. Hell its a stretch but its still an unique idea to be considered.

i wouldnt say treyarch fails. Yes they are not as good as IW but they still are very good developers, W@W is a really good game as is the nazi zombie mode. People just hate W@W because they expected it to be like cod4 alot even though it was made by a different company.

Imo i dont know hardly anything about the cold war so playing a game about it would be cool. I mean 70% of my knowledge of world war II comes from playing medal of honour and the cod series

Srsly thou, Vietnam would be pretty cool, it would lay off the WWII era for a change and the only other "Famous" Vietnam game I know is Battlefield Vietnam(which was a pretty sick game)but it's pretty old now released in 2004. But if it was ever released I really wanted the "CoD Vietnam" title released before MW2 replacing W@W, so from that point on all new CoD games would be about Modern Warfare.

Vietnam seems like a easy concept to pull off. All Treyarch needs to do is slightly alter WaW.

There were rumours, since Activision bought the rights to a bunch of music from the time. But this could have been for a Guitar Hero or Rock Band (I forget which Activision do) game they're working on.

I don't think Treyarch are as bad as they're always made out to be lol.

As for Vietnam I wouldn't mind it. Hunter, your 'wider Cold War' idea is also a cracker. I'd loe to play as the Aussies.

Interesting to not that the game would be an interesting transition between WWII and MW. Simply because all of the Communist
baddies' would be using weapons from Russia (old and new--e.g. dragunov, Kar and even some German ones). Forces allied with U.S. would be using somewhat modern weps like M16/M40 but with some older ones mixed in too--like M1 Garand.

Hey I tried. I ran out of non-obscure US allies that could qualify as an important war and Afghanistan was the only thing I could come up with. I'm just saying though I'd like to at least see some sort of mention of Korea before Vietnam, but not a whole game dedicated to just Korea. (After all its would just be the original invasion and UN offensive followed by the Chinese offensive followed by Pork Chop Hill being captured and lost for the remainder of the game)
