Watching the Black Ops trailers don't you think it looks even more noob than MW2, It looks more cartoony, more hectic, more killstreak rewards. ( a radio control car ) PLEASE.... Why cant we go back to the simple COD2 or MOH days where the game was balanced and not some futuristic laser game, will guns recoil um NO ... Can someone please make a game that is not for 12 year olds..

Yes cod2 and MOH were good games but u are acting like an old man "in my day there werent any need for the internet" "grrr kids these days". Its called progress those games where good coz they were are "childhood" games, they remind us of the innocence of playing games.

Seriously now and dont say yes just to be a fag but those games are crap in many many ways and are upscaled by cod4 onwards due to progress. But being good and being fun are two different things when it comes to the old games i mean i think playing tekken 2 on the ps1 is fun but its crap compared to the new ones.

Back to my point, which is the francise has moved on, moved on to a different "generation" of cod so they will never be the same as cod2 and classic MOH as they, interms of gameplay, are two completly different things

In other words if you dont like the games dont play them, and dont demand things like the developers owe you anything

Developers are trying to hard, adding shit that doesnt need to be there, its to easy for people to do well now even if they are shit at the game. Get a 5 kill streak and you can end up with 20 kills plus, try doing that in COD4.. as i said the games are aimed more at noobs,,

It's what sells though. Unfortunately, it doesn't always make for a great game, but as long as they're making money from it they'll keep reproducing the same crap over and over until people get bored. Once that happens a new franchise will appear and the story will repeat.

Also consider how much of a failure Barebones was in terms of popularity. I've never seen more than 40 people on it at once on PC.

I assume the remote control car will be easy to destroy.

I thought the maps looked better than MW2's. Atleast what they showed did.

Also gotta remember: dedicated servers that will very likely be able to be configured in many, many ways.

That, if CoD4 and WaW are anything to go by, will likely include the ability to remove killstreak rewards.

If there's anything people don't like, dedicated servers have pretty much solved it already.

And besides, Black Ops looks to be fun. It's a definite buy for me, unless they come out with "LOL WE LIED, NO DEDICATED SERVERS".

Umm... if someone goes from a 5 killstreak to a 20 kills... that doesn't prove that THEY are the noob. Blame yourself for letting them get to that point, whether you were hiding away from them to avoid them OR you were feeding them countless kills while you tried to break their streak.

I am just as annoyed by 11 year olds screaming at mic because they think its cool....COD is more than popular. Its just about legendary as freakin' Halo.

I really hope respawn gets the Modern Warfare brand back. And I dearly hope they do it right this time around.

No game will ever come close to the high quality multiplayer that is .....COD4. I just don't see it happening.

I know what ReSpawn is. And who is behind the venture.

I think they'll learn from the arrogance. Nintendo was arrogant right after SNES, Sony was arrogant right after PS2, and Microsoft was, at one point - arrogant. In between the Xbox 360 launch and the rise of Halo 3.

The thing is this, when you achieve the stellar success that is COD4, you begin to be 'overwhelmed' by the success. Arrogance in corporate world is testament of their will to succeed again. The second time is always the PR nightmare as evident in MW2.

PS3 went through a PR nightmare because Ken Kutaragi was arrogant - although he didn't show it much, he thought that the success of PS2 meant that no matter what they do, they couldn't fail. That was not true for quite sometime until the re-modeled PS3 Slim was out.
Its not so much about the words "fag," or the "n-word" its just, the overall attitude. The "high and mighty" tough card. Everytime I'm in the lobby with these obnoxious kids, I see them trashing anyone, and everyone. So, instead of letting others have that 'fire' from them, I direct it to myself. Its okay to me because I can handle it, and I'm used to controversy.

Its like this guy, he had the balls to talk shit to me on mic, and I didn't even do anything to deserve it. I put on his clan tags, and let his boosting loser kids talk shit about me. We go into the match, I got really pissed off by their boosting tactics - and cheating. Go figure. When I sent him a message he starts bitching, and whining about me. So, I went ahead and messaged him about his clan tag, which happened to be 'GFA.' I antagonized him; called his team "Gay Fags Alliance." Guess what? He said it out LOUD! Hahahahaha. I laughed hard. Its fun to mess with these types...but its also annoying to listen to them whine.

He tried to scare me by saying that he will report me to Sony about my "abuse." But its my word against his because a) he was talking shit on mic. b) he started the bait. c) he was cheating anyway. And it WILL show up in the records. All that I need to do is tell them the time, and date it happened and they're gone.

Ok here is the deal: What do people want out of BlackOps? The obvious nuisiances are lack of dedi servers for the PC crowd (yeah us console users are stuck but whats new, we are going to play what they give us). Its I choice I made when I bought a console and well I may not like all of it but I hope for the best experience possible. I am for dedicated servers for the PC guys it makes all the sense in the world to do that. Would I like to see things like Commando (or that Ballistic knife) and GL gone from the game. Yeah I would. But they are going to be in there but I can usually outhink and outgun these guys who think they have guranteed kills with these things. The CoD games to come will be on the arcade level, because it sells. MW2 sold a ton and yeah it has faults but it sold. They will continue to target that market until things stop selling and they are forced to come up with a new idea or evaluate how they want to change their product to cover the new audience. There is no such thing as a game that will be tailored to everyone's need. They will cater to the majority, even if what they are serving may not be the best thing.
