Over the last few weeks I've really started to warm to Black Ops as more info has been released. I like the idea of character customisation (hopefully it'll be as extensive as R6V2 but I doubt it), the fact shotguns are promoted back to primary (no more MLC akimbo shotties without being heavily penalised in open areas), the removal of OMA and commando (no complaints there), and the all-but-confirmed rumours of a return of the Zombie mode.
Last night's reveal has really got me excited, mainly because some of the core info they've released suggests they have done far more than create Mw3.
The idea of earning currency to buy unlockables could be fine - if you earn as you kill then it's no different to XP but with the benefit of choosing what to unlock first - but it will be a disaster if you can literally buy currency in the real world. I dont' think they'd be that stupid. What elevates the currency idea into greatness is the new 'Wager' modes. Combining the intensity of online gaming with gambling and the ability to put your (virtual) money where your mouth is? That's F&cking genius. Getting bored? Fine, wager your entire wallet on one game. You could live off the adrenaline for weeks.....

Even if they allow rmt I don't think it will affect gameplay that much, there isn't usually a weapon that just allows ownage once unlocked and even then everyone else can unlock it as well.

I can't find anything else on the forum about the Wager gamemode - surely that is worth it's own thread? It's probably the best bit of info to come out of that trailer.

I don't expect them to make currency purchasable with real cash, but wouldn't be surprised if they include a chunk of "CoD Points" or whatever they're called as part of a "special edition" / pre-order copy.

Though I'm sure there will be plenty of non-free DLC for costumes, etc with the personalisation options.

Wut? Moar DLC sales turing the game into a 150+ dollar monster purchase in the end! Nah wunda is just taking crazy jive. Did anyone else find that gameplay a lot more frantic than MW2?
