Does anyone else feel like they have a gross surplus of currency even after buying everything I need to play effectively each Prestige as well as some stuff to mess around with I still find myself with ridiculous amounts left. I have bought every emblem and almost every title with my surplus just to get rid of it. Anyone else noticed the same thing?

I've been saving up now, before i'd spend it on a bunch of new crap all the time and be just about broke constantly. Now i've got a bit saved up, though i'll spend a couple bucks on trying a different camo or something stupid

I am still working through P1 and even though I'm only at level 40 I feel I've probably unlocked everything I want to on the weapon/perk side of things, it does seem a bit too easy to pay for everything you want.
If you've got too much money just go and blow it all on high-roller wager matches, that's what i'd do. Unless of course you keep winning then I guess it's a nice problem to have.

I've got about 5k, I've been testing new guns and attachments. I'll probably start stacking up because I've got all the stuff I need. But I can see myself blowing it all on wager matches :P.

Imunality

I had like 60k before I prestiged and I blew it all on emblems and title backgrounds. I got every avaliable emblem and I got quite a few titles too. Now I've got around 30k CoD points and I don't have anything to buy that would bankrupt me. If I want to buy a gun, I just earn the points again in one game of TDM + contracts.

And I agree with OP. I even spent excess money on the Prestige Leaderboard which is something that I don't care to check.

Edit: Before anyone asks - it does have to be repurchased after Prestiging.

PC Wager matches are capped at 500 buy in so I can't even blow money effectively on that. With such a low input AND output they aren't an effective way of either losing or gaining money.

Ante Up - 10 a go
weekend Gambler - 1000 a go
and the whopping High Roller - 10,000 a go where you're guaranteed to clear your bank balance very swiftly if you so desire.

I've purchased all I want right now so I'm starting to accumulate the big bucks. Too bad I couldn't transfer them to my bank account as there are a lot of shiny things out there that have caught my eye. Emblems are okay to build but after awhile I find it boring and I've unlocked the weapons that fit my style of play. I've found that I keep returning to the M16.

Yeh, I had this impression from the very start (alraedy posted it a week ago in the First impressions thread iirc).

The currency flow is completely flawed, after like level 20~ you never have to worry about money again.
If the currency system would've been done properly, wager matches etc would actually have that extra thrill of losing valuable money. Even if I could bet 50k on a wager match, I wouldn't care about the money if I lost it.
There currently is no additional value for the game comming from the cash system, which is a sad thing.

Only the contrary actually. Since everything goes through the cash system now, things like title challenges have been taken out. I really loved to work for a title for a while & then show off with it (like my Mach 5 title in MW2). Now it's just HERP DERP GONNA PRESTIGE LETS BLOW OUR CASH ON SOME TITLES.
