MW2F Quiz 4: ANSWERS & SCORES!!!

First off thanks to everyone who took part this week, hope it filled in a bit of time for you! There were some genuinly inventive answers (some wrong) but also some impressive correct answers or extra snippets of information - for which bonus points may have been given.

This prooved quite a hard quiz and 7/10 was a great score. No-one got 100% this time. You needed 8/10 to come joint second HOWEVER due to being awarded half a bonus point for distinguishing between player-triggered and "for show" flares the entry titled "PlatypusFailure" from guess-who came top with 8.5/10. Well done platy!

Thanks to Voodoo, Dante and Joo for helping me verify two of the answers - as a result some scores have been revised so check your topic again if you haven't already!

• "2 is the odd on out because when you call it in you dont pull up a laptop"
• "number 4 since you can't see this one on your radar"
• "number 4 because it can't be shot down"
• "number 4 because it doesn't stay on the map"
• "number 3 because it's missing the nose turret"
• "number 2 because it's a helicopter"

However I'd only accept the original, non-silly, reason. So, without further ado the answer is: number 4 is the odd one out because it's the only one NOT in Modern Warfare 2!!! (how simple is that answer ?!) Hopefully the following pic will help explain:

1. is an AC130 (self explanatory)
2. is a Mil Mi 28 Havoc (AKA Militia/Spetsnaz chopper gunner)
3. is an AV7 harrier (AKA "harrier strike")
4. is an F117a Stealth Bomber (AKA the amazing aircraft made recognisable & famous because of it's real life success and numerous appearances in films etc)

The "stealth bomber" in MW2 is a B2 Spirit which, unlike the retired F117a is truely modern and is still in service with the USAF (United States Air Force) It looks similar initially (it's black and has triangular bits on the back) but actually looks very different:

10) There are 6 different helicopters in MW2, the crucial piece of info being the chopper gunner uses a different helicopter than the attack helicopter and both teams use different models for each:

• Littlebird (care packages)
• AH1 supercobra (US/TF141 attack helicopter)
• Mil Mi 24 "HIND" (Spetsnaz/Militia attack helicopter)
• Pavelow
• AH64 Apache (US/TF141 chopper gunner)
• Mil Mi 28 "HAVOC" (Spetsnaz/Militia chopper gunner)

I can see why most people put 4, either they didn't interpret the question as it was intended or didn't think about the helicopters being different for each team and each killstreak.

There wasn't any options. The question stated what kind of aircraft delivers the EAD. So I said a plane cause I didn't think that it would possibly be an AC-130 although abc's wording of the question implied that the plane used is not normally a cargo plane. I should have gone with my gut on this one =/

The plane used to deliver the EAD is a AC-130 however this is incorrect as the AC-130 is a gunship, it is meant to be a C-130 which is identical but it is a cargo plane hense the EAD. In my guide i said it was a C-130 as that is what its supposed to be, saying it was a AC-130, but meant to be a C-130 due to the devolpers being lazy, was not needed in the guide imo.

The AC-130 is a gunship full of tech stuff, weapons, crew and lots of ammo
C-130 might aswell be hollow

It's not hard to spot that the US/TF141 chopper is (american) different to the milita/spetsnaz one (russian designed) but I'll concede that it's not obvious that the attack heli is a different model to the CG...
