I think he's expanding government at the expense of the private sector and free market economy. This health care reform he pushed relentlessly isn't the solution. Privatization of many sectors of government would help relieve debt, but he isn't interested in that. I really dislike his platform of 'change' without substance. New face, new party, nothing's changed in Washington.

Politics summed up? As a poet once said "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss"

As for an outsiders point of view on Obama; I wish he was our Prime Minister

Personally I think he's one of those presidents that no one really remembers.
Can't give you an example, i forgot their names.
But some of the racism pointed towards him by republicans is unnessecary

Like in the Haiti earthquake, one republican thought that obama MADE that happen, so he could be more liked. Of course, if Obama didn't help Haiti, he'd be critized for selfishness. Lose-Lose situation...

Oh gosh this thread is gonna get epic. Anyway I'm not a big fan of him at all. We can just say that our morals don't line up at all.

Do tell where a Republican said Obama caused the earthquake.

I'm kinda neutral on Obama. Really I only care about the state of the economy and foreign policy, and he's done a mediocre job on both.

Still in a recession? Check.
Bailout the companies instead of fixing the root cause and passing new laws? Check.
Mired in two unnecessary overseas conflicts? Check.

Good job, Obama?

Seeing how we're leaving Iraq in August I think America's direct role in that conflict is over.

This pisses me off... lets just hand out money to big business...

and i don't understand healthcare...

I always give each president a chance, regardless of party affiliation, but i don't like the way obama has handled things as of late...

Scheduled timetables and actual timetables are two different things entirely. Not to mention, how much money have we wasted in Iraq already?

The final straw for me was the HealthCare situation. Honestly you now have to buy insurance wtf is up with that? Next in line is you have to buy multivitamins because they will help you stay healthier. I can go on and on but then I would just work myself up into a completely pissed off mood.

Those were Dubya's gifts to Obama.

I'm going to have to disagree, that as of now the status of forces agreement's timeline will go on as planned there haven't been any signs that The Administration wants to continue troop involvement in Iraq. I also wouldn't pin the blame on the Iraq War on Obama either, he didn't order the invasion of Iraq. That being said I think its very likely the US may keep some permanent bases in Iraq.

Well Obama continued the bailouts, failed to take steps to help the actual cause of the recession, and expanded government at expense of the private sector. We're still in the two wars, and he pledged more troops to Afghanistan regardless of who got us into the mess. His foreign policy is weak and I don't like what he's doing with the government at all.

Mediocre? Man, that's awfully kind. We're still in Iraq and Afghanistan....with even added troops in Afghan.

The economy, man oh man. It still sucks.
