I prefer PS3... free online gaming, blu-ray built in, better controllers.

But I do like the Xbox 360's menu and services it provides, interface, don't know how to explain it.

PS3 is better for casual gaming. The online is free, it is easier (for me) to use, and it (in my opinion) has better games like infamous and little big planet. This also doubles as a Blu-Ray Player, which is really helpful and cost-friendly

However, the XBOX is better if you play competitive. Like many say in MW2, the players are better. The controller is a bit different (left analog stick) and the graphics are worse. Although I think XBOX has more good players, and more campers as well in MW2.

Never used an xbox for more than 20 seconds. i just couldnt get on with the controllers, but ive had pstations from the outset so its easy for me to stay with em.
Also im not a pc - i use one at work for workshit and the one at home is just a dell package thingy that i play poker on- i dont play games as such.I do like the PS3 for the blu ray although it wasnt a "buying option". I cant slag the xbox i just personally cant get on with it.

Prefer the machine, prefer sony, Blu ray, all versions 3d ready with firmwear update. Gran Turismo and for me the best Controller ever. (Not counting mice, keyboard etc).

PS3. The free online gaming sold it for me, as I have no regular income so spending more than I have a month is a bad idea (however little it is). Also having a bluray player built in is a great advantage.

Other features on the PS3 (like BBC iPlayer) are useful as well, as I can watch programs in HD now.

Xbox has it's perks, but I don't think I was ever going to buy one over a PS3.

PS3 doesn't actually have the memory bandwidth to make use of its tremendous processing power in practical settings. Performance/value goes to the 360.

Remember that performance is almost irrevelant though, as I'm pretty sure it wouldn't make much noticeable difference when playing games, or even watching HD movies or using whatever extra features they have.

As performance/value doesn't make much consumer-end difference anyway, the choice of purchase really comes down to the features that the console has, i.e Blu-Ray, or a supposedly better competitive gaming community.

I had a 360 and sold it to buy a ps3.

360-have to pay for online gameing which is a set back. I see the 360 as more of little kid gameing since they have arcade verisons and such. just makes me think of little kids. No blu ray player. set back. Controller that weighs more then my arm. set back. RROD. set back. (even most are fixed). The wind blowing your hair back when you turn it on. set back.

PS3- Blu ray player. free online gaming. pretty much straight up WWW to browse. Light controller blu tooth, Better controller.

I prefer Xbox 360 because the controller fits better with my big, masculine hands(lol) and because i prefer the Xbox 360 only games to the ones from ps3 (except god of war3 that rules!)

but really if you go for ps3 its because you want a multimedia system rather than just a gaming console. one other i like though from Xbox360 is that you can play your music while playing!

so yeah Xbox360...

only thing PS3 has going for it IMO is blueray and free online. My friends are on xbox and i like the controller better than PS2/3 (i had a PS2 before)

well the controllers are preference. I prefer the PS3 controllers myself
What i will say is that, from what i can tell, the XBOX has less bitchy people talking. on PS3 i constantly hear singing, and other annoying stuff. Especially the game re-echoing through the mic and hearing it twice. which is so annoying
IMO the only thing XBOX has over PS3 is that your friends probably have it

that's another thing. on PS3 the randoms are either being annoying or never talking. It's no fun because I can't talk to people, none of them are using their mics. The online service booted my friend and i out 8 times while we were playing for no reason. this happened a couple times at my cousins house too.
yes, you could say its the connection, but really here i think you get what you pay for.

Unless you have no friends, then it's the exclusive titles.

so true. I got a 360 just to play halo and mw with the fellas. outside of that I'd jump at the blue ray option and games like demons souls and the uncharted series. xbox live has grown on me a bit though.
