Default TurtleBeach Headsets

Turtle Beach - PS3 Headset - Ear Force P21

My friend has this for his X360 and I was wondering if anyone had one and if it was a good choice.

I stepped on my shitty Logitech the other day and it snapped in half so... seeing as Christmas is approaching...

I r teh hazzorz th1s h34ds3t (now for real talk)

I have this headset, its a brilliant buy in my opinion - And as i know you talk to Greg a bit, he plays with me alot and he'll forever hear me say oh i hear someone coming from my left and then i'll get a kill in the kill feed.

The only downside to this headset is listening to poor quality headsets in good quality (if you understand) as you get good quality shitness because of people you don't want to hear - but theres a handy mute button next to players names (usually) for a reason.

"Hissing sound" - no i don't think this has been posted on here but i hear alot of people complain of this but when you get into a convo or game it is un-noticable.

"Not sturdy" - as of last post - not posted - people sometimes say oh its not sturdy - i would say unless your a complete numnuts you will not break these

Overall Amazing quality and a defo buy.

I have these too..!! They look slick and are comfertable enough..!! They do give off a slight hissing noise when the volume is low especially when using bass boost and expander but you dont notice it in game or when chatting..!! I definitelythink the build of them is too flimsy, especially the swivel head pivot joint (imo this is pointless and only creates a weak point in the structure) I know this may not be a prob to everyone but I have kids and if they get a hold of them I know the ear cup will get snapped off..!! but compared to the alternative headsets for ps3 I reckon these are the best option at the best price..!!

For the 360 I had turtle beach X3s and they are quality, wireless, great build quality, very comfy and great soundalthough I think they have changed the name of them..!!

Default Turtle Beach WOW

Hi all

Just thought I would share the joy I bought a set of Turtle Beach X1s yesterday. After the usual complaints at midnight of TURN IT DOWN from my dearest wife knew it was time to get some headphones. What I didn't expect was how much differance they would make to the game!!!!! OMG I could hear everything, other players running towards me and reloading, jumping even the noise of the bomb being defused on SnD. At one point felt like I was cheating!!

Anyway this rambling was suposed to be me saying to all buy some they are amazing £45 from Game, a very happy Frodo.

Yeah, I have a few friends that own them and the results are great, especially in SnD and 1 on 1 matches. If you want a new win streak, just play some Cage Matches with the TB's on

I bought Turtle Beach XLC's and they worked great for around 4 minutes. Then one side quit out, then the other. So now i get a tinny little whimper whenever i put them on and turn the volume to max. My turtle beach PC headset works fine, so i use it for audio, no more mic though.

Speaking as a trained sound engineer, I am now going to tell you that the only differences that Turtle Beach or Triton headsets are making to your game are the volume at which you're playing and the ability to access a wider range of sound frequencies. Both of these advantages can be provided by getting a decent pair of stereo speakers and turning them up if noise isn't an issue or a £10 pair of any old circumnaural headphones.

Don't fall for consumerism, kids.

so what do you do if you actually want to talk to your team mates?

do you shout through the speakers or send smoke signals? Courier pigeon maybe?

and i'm saying that as a trained human being in common sense

by the way, as a trained sound engineer shouldn't you know how to spell it correctly?

No he is an engineer. 100% correct spelling doesn't matter.

Actually, it does matter. Apparently, I had been spelling it wrong this whole time without anybody picking me up on it. Thanks, folks.

Not all circumaural headphones will state the fact that they are circumaural. All it means is that the speakers and padding envelope the ears, creating a noise-cancelling effect. Just look for anything with big, padded speakers.

EDIT: These'll function.

Oh, god. I totally forgot that Microsoft decided to nerf their hardware so that customers are only able to use official gear and gear from manufacturers who have paid lots of money to use Microsoft's patented audio input in their products.

I could tell you how to make the conversion if you have a soldering iron and some insulation material. Sucks to be you, otherwise.

Well I wouldn't say it sucks to be me and it's not the end of the world dropping £40 on a new set of X1's off of eBay but I do like saving my cash where I can!

i'm ok with a soldering iron but isn't there an adaptor you can plug in your controller and then plug the phones into that?
