The pair of downloadable games that are headed for Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday couldn't be more different from one another. LucasArts' dream-like puzzle/platformer
Lucidity is on the docket for this week, along with
South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play! from Double Six Games. Both will go for 800 Microsoft points, or about $10.
Just announced early last month, Lucidity looks to be a puzzle game along the lines of
Lemmings -- requiring careful management of items and powerups to guide a wandering child to safety. The South Park game, on the other hand, is pretty self-explanatory: Up to four players control Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny while they construct defensive turrets and fight off wave after wave of cows, hippies, ginger kids, and a number of other inside-jokes from the popular television series.
While both of these games seem like a relatively good time, heavy-hitters like
Uncharted 2 and
Brutal Legend are just around the corner -- not to mention
Modern Warfare 2 in about a month. Is anybody really planning on spending their money on XBLA games right now?
