Aside from a
debut trailer shown at the Spike Video Game Awards, we haven't heard or seen much about the newest game in the rebooted
Medal of Honor franchise. We
know the game is set in Afghanistan and the main character is a Tier One Operator, but other than that, EA has been very tight lipped about any other details. Luckily, the next issue of the U.K.
Official Xbox Magazine (via CVG) has an exclusive look at the the game, and they're teasing the issue with a few of those details that they've gleaned on their
website.
Besides the confirmation that the game will take place in Afghanistan,
OXM UK reports that EA brought in actual Tier One Operator soldiers to help make sure everything, including the camo and military jargon, are realistic. The game allows you to shoot out lights, use nightvision, sprint, and has a knife melee attack and multiple playable characters. Those last three items sound pretty reminiscent of
Call of Duty, but they're generic enough that it doesn't seem fair to start labeling the game as a Modern Warfare copycat just yet.
With a release date of fall 2010, we're sure to be hearing even more about the new Medal of Honor in the coming months.
