Default New Games on Demand Today Are Vegas 2 and Call of Duty 3

Today brings with it a pair of new games on Xbox Live's Games on Demand service. First up is Call of Duty 3, arguably the weakest entry in the franchise, no doubt because it was developed by Treyarch and not by Infinity Ward, which was responsible for the most excellent CoD 4, as well as the first two numbered Call of Duty games. The game is available in all regions but Japan, with prices varying depending on where it is you reside. If you happen to be in the U.S., you're looking at a pretty steep $30 price tag -- that's rather expensive with Modern Warfare 2 just about a month away, but it's what you can expect to pay at retail, too.
The second game is another Tom Clancy game (it seems like every update to Games on Demand has at least one), Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. It wasn't received quite as well as the first Vegas, but it's still not a half bad game. Unlike CoD 3, this one is available worldwide, and in the U.S. it costs $30, right around the price it's going for at Amazon and Best Buy.

Don't bash COD3 or I might just have to backhand a ho. It's what got me into online FPS tbh. Although the $30 pricetag is ridiculous seeing as you can buy the retail game for $10 used at Gamestop.

Collegehumor ftw.

So have they started selling 360 games on XBL? And how are the retailers not mad at this? Considering they got pretty up in arms about the PSP GO potentially undercutting them with download prices.

I can't stand Vegas 2 tbh... The first Vegas was good, but had LOADS of problems that were never properly fixed...

The second instalment had all the same problems as the first and a load of new ones to boot...

You should see the ubi forums... They have to rearrange and delete half of the threads every two months, just to get rid of all the ubi hate... In fact the ubi forum is the only forum to EVER issue me with any disciplines... Removed my posting privileges for a whole two weeks

As for CoD3, I actually quite enjoyed the Xbox version (big black box, not 360)...

Yeah, all games are priced at £20 in the UK. There isn't heaps yet, maybe around 30?
Some of the games available are pretty bad and I certainly wouldn't pay that amount for them.

Its too expensive and my G1 Xbox doesn't have enough memory to install the game so its a pass.

I wonder why COD3 wouldn't go to Japan--reckon it's something to do with Sony wanting to discourage 360 users in it's country of origin? Happen with many other games?

Two bad games that is why, blah trey arch failed attempt of cod2 copy, and rbsv2 which got people into buying an expansion pack for a full price of a video game. I'll bash Treyarch all day, IW doesn't even like them.

They are not gonna put GOTY's on demand. It will be the lower end games that go on atm

I actually thought Call of Duty 3 was better than Call of Duty 2 when I first bought it. That was until the game got scratched and screwed up my Xbox.

Then again maybe its my fault for playing that game nonstop after its release

I don't like the RBS series as a whole lulz, CoD3 is not ported to PC >.> but I played it on console, they are both horrid games for a $30 price tag.
