Default FFXIII is just 7GB of gameplay and 32GB of movies?

According to a third party disc analysis, FFXIII is just around 7GB of gameplay and around 32GB of movies. Hopefully this isn't another Metal Gear Solid 4 style of'game' which is more like a movie.

Full analysis is over at PocketNews.

Ah but you have to think beyond the 7:32 ratio.

COD4 is a fantastic game and used 6.31GB.
MW2 used around the 7 - 9GB mark.
All PS2 games had a max of 4.7GB

Clearly size does not relate to how good the game is.

Also a 10 hour video arguably takes up much more space than 10 hours of gameplay, so it also doesn't mean you'll be watching 32 hours of cutscene for every 7 hours of gameplay.

COD owner - COD expansion pack owner - COD2 owner - COD2: BRO player - COD3 owner - COD4 owner - COD:WaW owner - COD: MW2 owner - COD: BO owner

This is getting repetitive.

I shall play FFXIII no matter what!

Well I hope it's at least somewhat enjoyable, I mean most of the recently hyped games have been disappointed particularly GTA4 which was only like 1/10th as good as San Andreas IMO and although I am enjoying MW2 it isn't as good as CoD4 was/is IMO.

Well, the Famitsu review, which is the magazine that most people look to in order to find out how good a game is going to be when it's released in Asian countries before Europe and American, has given it a 39/40.

Here's a link to the article: Final Fantasy XIII Famitsu Review Leaked Early - Update: Confirmed - Final Fantasy XIII: News, Trailers & Screens ~ Final Fantasy-XIII.net

So, I'd like to see these "bad reviews" you've been hearing about.

As for the 7G and 32G comment; it doesn't matter. There are games that use the in-game graphics engine for their cut scenes but, obviously, FF has been known to have amazing theatrics with their CG cut scenes and I'm glad to see that's not changing.

It could be said that most RPGs are just interactive movies... some of them just look better than others.

It probably isn't going to be, but if it was released for PC it would be such a bitch to install >_>

Mass effect was like an Interactive Movie and it was awesome it made you fall right into the story, if FFXIII maintains the aspects of it's predecessors + fancy new gen graphics It's going to be Fantastic.
