Anyone checked it out yet? Just been playing it on the PS3 and can't say I'm as mad for it as I expected. The control was a little weird, couldn't get a comfortable feel for it. Something about vehicles in MP FPS's just doesn't seem to work for me either.

MW2 actually felt damn refreshing after playing BC2 for a while! I had a new admiration for simplicity after loading it back up.

Will probably grab the full game if the reviews of the final product are good but I can't say I'm quite as interested as I thought I'd be.

I have now played a few hours on the beta and have to say the tanks did start to annoy me. Apart from that I actually found it refreshing getting away from MW2. I know it is more realistic and not as simple but I still enjoyed the lack of perks, the balance of weapons and tbh I was quite surprised at how well it was put together for a 'demo'.

The only thing that bothers me, and it could be a flaw in terms of appealing to the mass market. There's definitely a need for teamwork to win.

The times when my randomly put together squad work together, its an easy win. Most of the ther other times, when people spawn and jump in a tank instead of waiting for a teammate, its just a massive fail.

Still 50/50 on getting it, there's other games above it on my imaginary list that I want more.

My initial thoughts are that I like it...I will definately pick up a copy when it releases, the single player looks fun and add to that a pretty good MP it's a win and enough to draw me away from MW2 for a bit.

Yeah, this'll probably be the deal-breaker for me. Personally, I really enjoy working in a team / clan with a bunch of people who are coordinated and know what they're doing, but I just can't be arsed with having to organise myself for that kinda stuff these days. That's why I don't play WoW anymore. I come home from work and just want to log on and shoot shit.

MW2's team games are pretty simple by design, easy to learn and very friendly to the not so coordinated groups - run, shoot, cap objective.

BC 2 has run, shoot, pilot, drive, engineer, medic with multiple objectives over massive maps. I fail to see how it could possibly be enjoyable unless I was part of an organised team, and I'm just not interested in that shit anymore.

I dunno if they also offer simpler styles of gameplay such as what you get in MW2, but from what I saw in the demo, this is big team stuff and a totally different type of game. MW2 with dedicated servers it aint.

It got super hyped so I went a got a key and my comp can barely run it. Waiting for a better computer to give it another go when it comes out but it just seems like another modern update to the BF series. Not a bad series imo, so it deserves a look
