CAn anybody actually tell me when i will be able to get this game in the UK once and for all...its been put off so many times its just wrong.

I know theyve been tweaking it etc etc, but come on man....i need to race something when im getting hammered in MW2..............

I got GT5 Prologue with my PS3 a couple of years ago, talk about long term projects.

Ive been through that bloody prologue so many times i think i was actually involved in the making of...

Ive gone thru all the NFS and sorry they just dont have enough in them anymore.Im not really into buidling a powerfull car and the putting a load of advertisements and graffitti all over it.

guess im just old.

Yeah Q3 this year. Hopefully it doesn't get delayed again though. And I really hope they don't wait till after christmas like many developers did this year because of MW2.

No, I got so pissed about the 25th september debacle, I want to not buy it. I will, but this isn't fair. I bought the original Playstation because of screen shots of the original GT. That was delayed for over six months. Same story every time. This delay is ridiculous though. Shift was ok but bugged to fuck.

I think that DRIFT thing was better just for the damage but too easy as a game.

Didn't like drift, Liked Grid but didn't have appeal of old Toca games.

Drifting was better in grid than shift tho its still just soemthing in the way of circuit racing to me.

But yeh its really really bad on shift. You can just drive like a drunken twat as long as you get one good corner in and presto...you win.

And you should be able to pick whatever the hell u want to drift in...cheap bstrds.

Track man myself too. Haven't really played an arcade racer since outrun turbo. (1992 ish).
Not a fan on decals on my car either. (maybe I am showing my age now).
Gt is a bit like porn to me.

Beat them both, then quickly quit so they could not get revenge for my lucky wins.

Part of the fun of any GT game is you have you ring up your local game and double check that "GT5 hits the shelves" is true and that you're not dreaming.

Just like GT3 & GT4, when that day eventually comes...

To put it in perspective, the anticipation for MW2 was massive. GT is another level because the game only works for people who remotely care about cars (lul wut i can n0t do 500,000 point drift in ripspeeded-up "tuner" car? I haz 2 use precision and a proper racing line? wot does precision mean again?)

And yeh the anticipation bit is right..but now it better godamn well live up to the bloody wait (which it probably wont)

As mentioned above it does get you so bad you almost want to NOT buy it just to make a point, knowing damn well you will of course.

MW2 was huge, i dont think anything will get near that kind of hype for a while, and for my part it (mostly) lives up to the wait.I only really got into the series on mw1 , i also got WAW but i honestly prefer this on so far...apart from the much debated hacks/glitches etc.

But to be honest you get a good lobby and stick with it and its a sht hot evening of fun and blood.

The difference between Polyphony and IW is subtle but massive. Polyphony clearly aren't driven by a parent company or by profit. Kazumi (?) whatever-his-name-is just wants to make the best driving game ever. Now whatever IW or Activison would like to think forcing your developers to make a release every 12 months screams sales revenue NOT care and quality...

Surely the amount of time and resources thrown into GT games (and the fact that it's beveloped directly by Sony [SCEA/SCEE/etc] themselves) show that the aim isn't to get massive sales revenue.

And because polyphony care about the game more than it's success they, and I, are perfectly happy to delay the game numerous times and literally be years behind original release date if it means rounding off the corners and making it perfect.

And i totally agree it is only worth the wait because of the finished product.

There is nothing remotely good enough out there to fill the void that GT fills.
Its just killing me.... the whole carrot + stick thing all over again.
Ive seen the vids (makin of etc) the efforts they go to are totally unreal.Mapping the tracks and cars etc, they even designed the new EVO using the old GT game ffs!!! THAT says it all....

I know im bitching but yeh i would wait+wait+wait.

IT WILL BE WORTH IT !!!!
