Default Splinter Cell Conviction

I came into work today to pick this up (before having to go back in at four ) and got to play the first mission and thought it was tight as hell so far. Just wondering if anyone else is playing this and what their thoughts are on it and how it compares to the previous titles.

I played the demo, I felt it was way more linear than Chaos Theory and the lack of non lethal take downs annoyed me. Visually I like it a lot especially how it tells you your objectives. Overall I didn't like it that much, thought it was pretty average, but this is only based on the demo so I could be wrong. I've also heard it's only 8 hours long

I guess for me the previous titles have just been too hard based on how stealth like you have to be. I remember killing a guy with a silenced pistol and no one was around to hear it but you hear the commander say "you failed the mission sam." I was thinking "no one even knows i killed him whats the big deal?" I guess i just like the fact that you can approached the missions in different ways in this one. But again not everything is for everybody. I didn't care for BBC2 and everyone on Joystiq shuns me for it.

i didn't like the fact that they made it easy mode, its short, 90% less emphasis on stealth and is now easily completable whilst running around like a headless chicken. the story was fairly engaging but is a bit cliché.

if you a proper SC fan like me, you will notice it doesn't have the same feel anymore

I was told you can't do the run and gun thing if you put it on the hardest difficulty setting (which is the best way to experience any single player game these days)

How is the multiplayer?

The multiplayer is a blast. I played co-op with my roommate and it was really cool having two splintercell's working together.

The game itself is short, but the co-op missions and deniable ops make up for the short single player. Still haven't beat it though. I like to take my time with games now a days. Alot of games are shorter than they used to be so i'll try and make them last as long as possible. Though it's harder to fallow the story when you play it once every few days.

*bump*

Does anyone here happen to play it on PC? I'm looking for a coop partner

Steam had a deal going where you could get the entire SC collection for $45 also (including the deluxe edition of Conviction). Not sure if it is still going on or not.
