Razer Mouse Guide | Razer | For Gamers. By Gamers.™
I read through some of it, but i don't know if they are just trying to sell their mice. I need to buy a new mouse, but i don't know what i should buy. This is how i hold my razer habu(look at pictures). So what do you guys think i should look for?

You hold the mouse the same way as I do, and I recently acquired a razer deathadder. IT AWESOME. Unless you can't bear the glossy sides to it. I had a logitech MX518 mouse before, but the side grip didn't suit my fingertip grip much at all. It also squashed my pinky, middle and ring finger together rather uncomfortably, whereas the deathadder splays the fingers out much more.
To be honest, recommending mice is very hard, since everyone's hands are different. What is your DPI at the moment? Because from what I've heard the habu is a very good mouse and it might not need replacing unless your into high sensitivity playing. What's your budget?

In-game, i turn 360 degrees by moving my mouse 15cm. Before i played at like 5cm for a 360, but voodoo(?) told me to test playing with lower sensitivity in a thread where i asked about sensitivity.
As for budget, it depends really on what you guys think. I can be persuaded to buy a more-expensive one if you guys think it will improve my gameplay by alot. EDIT: If you can't see the picture, 1000hz, 2000dpi Edit2: I also got windows 7 ultimate yesterday, worksgreat. Edit3: Fuck windows 7, i can no longer have music from my speakers and in-game sound from my headphones, worthless shit.

Ah, that's good news, since you'll have more options for mice as you don't require a high DPI. Personally I'd stick to razer mice, as they usually have a nice matte top so you get a better grip, but other mice often have more features.
Personal recommendations: 1). Razer Deathadder (I paid £40) - 3500 DPI, simple, only has two extra buttons on the side but has a great shape to work and is very compfy. Glossy sides let it down, unlike logitech mice, but the mouse buttons are much nicer to click due to the slight indents. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826153058 2). Logitech G500 - High DPI. (can't remember but it doesn't really matter for you)This has more features, like weights, more buttons, on the fly sensitivity adjustment and non - glossy sides. On paper it sounds better than the deathadder, but it's just a question of whether you like the logitech shape - I can't help you with that, you may have to take a risk and go with the other review of it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826104318 3). Razer Abyssus - I tried this once, and I think it's a very underrated mouse. If you're not into the mouse macros (no extra buttons), high sensitivity and fancy lights, then this is for you. It's also an ambidextrous design if you're used to mice like that. It has the typical nice mouse button feel as other razers, but this one has an all matte finish so you'll have a great grip all the time. And of course, it's cheaper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826153056 Those would be my main three choices which are fairly expensive, but I'm a bit clueless when it comes to other brands. I think it's better to get a nice reliable mouse that will last, and the cheap mice don't seem to be a worthy replacement of your Habu. The three market leaders should do fine I think. EDIT: you might also want to try the microsoft sidewinder, if you have big hands. I think that's better for palm grippers though, but I'm not sure.

I have the Razer Lachesis and like it a lot. I'm a leftie and it is hard to find a decent mouse for lefties so the lachesis takes care of that problem, it can be used by anyone.
Only problem is that the side gloss is wearing off a bit from frequent use otherwise I'm pretty pleased with it. If you use your whole hand or do the claw hold I would recommend it but I know razer has a good guide on theie site for grip style. |

It's designed for MMO players, but the side of it looks seriously uncomfortable regardless. It's like they stuck a calculator on the side of it.
![]() Oh, and I looked at some reviews of the roccat kone, and they're very positive. One thing though, it's meant to be better for people with big hands, otherwise you might cramp up.
