Ghost Recon Future Soldier is the game that caught my eye most so far from what I watched on the E3 trailers. Then again, any game with 4 player coop gets my jiblets going.

Annoying. I was going to use the beta to see if the game was worth buying at all. Oh well. Game just looks like CoD4 and BC2 mixed together, but not different enough to sustain my interest...

From someone who has played the beta

When shooting it feels weird, no spread and no recoil. I like the maps.

Quite a few bugs
Mortar strike is to easy to get and to easy to use
I just pressed Team chat and now I can't close team chat so I have to restart the game
It's easy to kill
It's easy to die
FOV is not very good
When you hit the knife button the animation looks like you are throwing it
Can't not have both maps on the same server because they are different gametypes
200 players online
matchmaking bugged and play now bugged
server lobby bugged (All servers dissapear if you click something)
Feels A LOT like a port. The game menu you have to click arrows to navigate, it says something about setting up your TV o.O
You have to be spawned to exit the server

Whoo I'm kinda glad then that I have to wait for a wee bit. EA has been having a lot of trouble lately with about everything yesterday. Hopefully by the time I get on some things may be fixed? oh and what platform did you play on?

Played it a little bit today. Managed to grab a free beta code yesterday

Its pretty good. I'm out of FPS practice though, so I suck. I think it'll be good with a team. Hopefully, DICE won't be retarded and force you to only be in 4 man teams. Main failure of BC2 imo.

Fileplanet seems to be giving away keys daily, so head over there - I got one earlier today.

Gameplay is alright. Sometimes. Lots of lag and hit detection issues. It seems like very few dedicated servers are around, and none where I live (Australia) so I have to use the matchmaking system, which is remarkably good.

Quite fun, but buggy. Worse than MW2 or BC2 atm, but hey, it's a beta.

AUGH. The above was written after a relatively short period of play. I've gone back and played more, and I just hate it. Lack of any sort of interesting weapons, and assault rifles more overpowered than those of MW2. It seems there are four weapons in the game: The assault rifle (the "Special Ops" class seems to also be given an assault rifle? I can't tell a difference), the shotgun (which is terrible), the sniper rifle (admittedly they come in semi auto and bolt action), and the handgun.

Changed my mind from a possible buy to no way in hell.

so i played the beta last night for quite a while. ON PS3.

i pretty much agree with everything said above but i'm gonna add some more to it

spawning system is pretty terrible.
the red dot sights are not very accurate
i started with and SVD and an M21 as sniper rifles and they only came with a RDS and a Holo sight and no scope WTF!!!!
matchmaking was working OK ish
i think the highest number of players i saw was 900 in the squad match and 200 in the rush mode.
bad hit registration, and i get about 5 seconds of major lag when someone gets a headshot on me and during that time i'm still firing but the image is frozen.
the beta levels are tiny
Beta download was 660Mb and i had to immediatly patch it with a 260Mb patch WTF the beta must have been totally worthless when first played without the patch.
knife doesn't register half the time.
grenade launchers are really useless even more so than BC2's
Rockets have the splash damage of a fish
pistols again are too powerfull, really easy to get a heady with hipfire as well
standard sensitivity is snails pace and full sensitivity has turn lag.
it takes nearly a whole clip to kill someone unless you get a heady.
grenades are rubbish and have a fuse of about 3 seconds, there is no point cooking a grenade as it will blow up in the air and be useless.

as for gameplay style they may aswell have just Called it URBAN Bad Company 3, it's the same game basically with a few menus changed and a TDM mode thats a little annoying to say the least. the rush mode is basically the same except there is 1 objective at each section instead of 2 and there are different tasks at each base so one maybe just capture the area the next will be plant charges and so on.

meh if it stays like this i will not be buying it totally not worth buying a reskined BFBC2 when BFBC2 is better anyway.

i was actually looking forward to this so unless they make some pretty hefty changes and really bring it away from battlefield i really don't see the point in them even making this game.

a few more things to add as i'm playing i guess.
i have just been thrown out of a game, it just froze and kicked me out, no reason no explanation no nothing.
had it freeze and had to crash my console (thats 5 freezes now)

the guns you start with:

Terrorist:
AR = AK47, with Grenade launcher
Special Ops = AK74u with RPG's
Sniper = SVD with Red sot sight and C4

Military:
AR = M16 Auto with Grenade launcher
Special Ops = M4 with AT-4
Sniper = M21 with Holo sight and C4

also vehicles are just ported from BFBC2 and i mean everything.

gonna have another session in a bit to see if i can find something that will save it but it isn't looking good for the minute.

FFFF... i guess it aint so good then. I hate these stupid gimmicks where you force people to pre-order the game to get the beta and then it sucks... but at least they offer a beta...

man, i dunno what to get this year. Not a halo fan (but everyone will be playing reach...) and idk what else there is...

i am getting soooo bored of xbox

I guess I will have to see how the beta goes for Xbox, since apparently Microsoft didn't let them present the beta because of how terrible it was. I will prolly just cancel my preorder and then buy it from Wal-Mart, see how the final game is and if it's trash take it right back. I hope not cause I have always been a MoH fan.

Oh, hey, seems to have been released for everybody else. On PC, at least.

So, I tried it!

2 crashes in 5 minutes. No error, just back to the desktop. Once in the menu, on during a game...

So, yeah. I got 3 kills, at least.

All I can say is that the menu scroll bars are wierd (minor), the blinking-server browser is annoying, and connecting to a server really needs something that says "connecting to server" because I tried to connect to a few, just for it to connect to one I clicked earlier. On a sidenote, connecting takes a while...

No real opinion on the gameplay because of aforementioned crashes. The hit detection seems alright though, and that MP7 seems pretty darn accurate...

To be fair it cant be any worse than the previous effort on ps3 man what a pike of ****. It does look damn good even if it does smack of a 'me too' effort.
