Its about time we had a decent WW2 FPS...... WAW was tosh, and the only real half decent WW2 game has been COD2.. Thoughts ?

Why do things have to get so over the top, most people agree that 3,5 and 7 killstreaks are enough.. I just think a more simple game makes a better one. Cod was always known for its great fps games and i thought they went over the top in MW2 and Black ops seems even more over the top..

You STFU.. COD4 was an excellent game and IMO better than MW2... MW2 was aimed more at the younger gamers like it or not.. If you don't like my thread then don't post on it..

WaW was pretty good. If they would have fixed the MP40 and removed all the tanks it would have been a great game imo.

Remove tanks, remove dogs, tone down artillery but make it more consistent, MASSIVELY increase the recoil of all automatic and semi-automatic weapons, create maps that made sense for anything other than TDM...

Jesus, no. You'd be redisigning the game before it became viable.

Do we really need another WWII series? Before COD4 came out the FPS market was over saturated WWII shooters. Try playing Brothers in Arms or Medal of Honor I'm sure out of the 50 games they've released one of them has to be decent.

Here's an idea. How bout a shooter with an original plot that takes place in a creative setting? I'd gladly play that instead of a game which makes me storm the beaches of Normandy for the 9000th time.

I'd like to see a company make a WW2 FPS actually realistic. I want them to actually go to a range with all the weapons and fire them. Look at the tendancy of where the recoil goes. How the gun is balanced. I go to a shooting range off and on and I get to shoot some WW2 era guns. They are barely anything like the game. (Everyone knows they aren't) But I mean if a company was ambitious and advertised that they did these things I'm positive people would buy it like mad.

Guns are purposely made the way they are to create/in an attempt to create game balance.

They need a fallback gun for people who are truly atrocious at the game to make them think they're awesome and they keep buying the products. The UMP45 and MP40 are marketing guns.
