Default Assassin's Creed 2 Review

Hey! I'm new to the site, and thought I would review AC2. I beat it back in January, and it was a good 9 out of 10 stars. Let's begin.

Okay, the campaign was very good. The constant change in pace keeps the game flowing easy, with a few side-missions here and there.

The characters are well developed throughout the game and will surely be even more developed in AC3.

The different categories of enemies add a new twist to the campaign and free play modes, instead of just easily fighting off those grunts.

Now there are Guard Captains, Templars, Grunts, Archers, Runners, and many more.

The only problem I had was one level where you have to stay undercover in an enemy base.

The weapons buying system is new and fresh, allowing you to buy upgrades in armor and weapons, with the new weapon: a gun!

You can buy medicine and poison to make guards wander around like fools.

Also, free play is back with even more maps and in-depth killing modes and swimming and map interaction.

All in all, a great 9 out of 10!

Let me know what you think.

I started, but the repetition bored me.

I'm currently a few hours in from beating AC1 and the improvement is dramatic. Not too repetitive yet and I'm liking the story.

Spoiler:
Shame Altair isn't in this one.

I love Assassin's Creed. It is just a cool concept for a game. I love the story. I've always thought of it as sort of a medieval GTA.

I was REALLY (I can't emphasize this enough) disappointed by the flying machine. I had really hoped you could do some cool stuff with it, and especially use it for more than one mission. I was greatly saddened when I found out otherwise.

Yeah, I loved it. Assassin's Creed has gotta be one of my favourite franchises.

I was never able to get into the game, AC1 (repetitiveness) even though I like the type of story that it is. (ie medieval'ish era) With fps's coming out steadily this fall it'll be hard for me to get into an rpg.
