I started playing this recently and have found it to be pretty amazing. For a sandbox style game it's incredibly unforgiving but there's so much to do and discover once you get the hang of it. It's got a great balance of survival and exploration. Also the way crafting works is very clever and has a lot of depth.

I wasn't quite expecting there to be scary moments in the game - it really can take you by surprise in the dark.

People make some incredible stuff in game too, but I'm happy exploring and trying to stay alive.

What's most surprising is that people are paying (about 250,000 people to date out of around 900,000 registered users) to play the current version of the game which is still in the alpha phase of development - it's buggy and features are being added, changed, etc all the time. But for 9 euro's, it's well worth it IMO. Great game.

I tried this last night, and man is it fun. I a couple of youtube videos showing the things you can do in the game, and it is crazy, on the website someone made a roller coaster. But I tried the free version which only let me build houses and use blocks, I could not mine anything or make things. I guess you have to pay for that right?

Otherwise it is a neat little game.
