Default game trades in the UK

Ok, question for all you in the know. I've never traded any games in before in my life. But anticipating the release of black ops I want to trade n

FIFA 10
NBA 2K8 (lol)
GTA IV
Modern Warfare 2

Anyone know what sort of prices I'd get for those games? Theres not a game/gamestation in my town so I just want to know if its worth travelling to the next town to get them traded! Cheers.

What platform are they on?

Rough pricing from CEX, it comes to.

FIFA 10 - £2
NBA 2K8 - £1.50
GTA IV - £5
MW2 - £13

Game might do a deal similar to what they done for MW2 where you could trade in CoD4 and get MW2 half-price. No idea if that'll happen for Black Ops, as of yet.

Oops, all on PS3.

Cheers for that. I'd take those prices.

Take your ass down to a games store, and they will value them for you.

In my experience of asking for quotes (and then laughing as I walk out the shop) is that CEX seems unfairly low and Game just takes the...

The "standard" markup in retail for brand new goods is 300%, the lowest I've ever come across is a 200% markup. Given these figures and the assumption that the shop has to make a profit then it sort of explains why they value your console at £100 and then stick a £200 price tag on it when they put it on the shelf.

I don't dabble in pre-owned stuff much at all. £32.99 for a new copy of the game or £29.99 for the game with a scratech disc and fingerprinted box - for me that's always a no-brainer.

The CEX website is very useful as they list buy, exchange & sell prices for every item they've ever bought/sold.

This is getting repetitive.

ive traded stuff in with blockbusters and they quote their game trade ins by the popuality of the game, NOT if they have it in stock or not.

mw2 6 months ago got me £12 or £22 store credit
