I've been playing mw2 for a while now, not the best, not the worst... I'm looking for a team, and wondering how matches are setup.. I used to play counter strike on pc, and we used IRC to find scrims/matches... Anyway, I'm 23, and live in Co....

I believe the matchmaking system works only one way: Either you are teamed with a party, if you have one, or it is totally random. This could be why if you stay in a game long enough, you will sometimes switch to the opposite team, while a party will always stay on one team.
More information about this can be found here: Infinity Ward explains how MW2 matchmaking works - GXBlog |
