Default Anyone See the Oscars?

I'm glad The Hurt Locker won best picture and Kathryn Bigelow won best director, but I was suprised to see it win six out of its nine nominations. I expected Avatar to win everything involving Art and Visuals, and Precious for its acting and screenplay.

I was disappointed though to see District 9 go home without any awards.

Yeah... has Steve Martin ever been funny? =/

Weirdest result for me was Avatar winning Cinematography - it's CGI!! I guess cinematography is an art form in CGI but it's hardly as impressive a task as lighting up and photographing of a real, not CGI set / scene where you have to deal with the physical world.

Yay for Christopher Walz as Best supporting actor!

Tbh i was glad district 9 didn't win anything, I didn't think highly of the film. I'm also glad the hurt locker cleaned up, was well deserving!

QFT. This is the only one I cared about, his performance in Inglourious Basterds was amazing.
