Who else watched the premiere episode?

I loved it, it was the 1st episode and it had awesome battle scene, setting the characters.

The one thing I was puzzled on was when they are on Guadalcanal the marines were using M1903A3 Springfield. I thought the M1 Garand was used during these battle.



They also used the The Vickers Machine Gun as well. Didn't the used the browning .30 cal?




Other than those two questions I loved this episode and can't wait for the rest of the series and then buy the whole series on DVD.

I did. Pretty good overall. I'm recording the series on my DVR. I recorded Band of Brothers so this will be a nice addition.

One of my fav. part from Part One was when they was playing around with the Jap guy.

They did use the 30 Cal. But "Tha Pacific" only focus on the 3 guys and im guessin they didn't use the 30 Cal. because of the weight of it.

I only had HBO in the vacation resort. My parents are too cheap to actually purchase the channel.

I am really ticked because the first episode played on some random channel that I get, but the rest are only on HBO. I get drawn in by a the first episode, which was pretty good to stay on topic, and then I can't watch any more haha. DAMN!
