Take two situations. Let's say in both situations, you would have a killstreak of ten, so close to having a Chopper Gunner to win the game for your team.

Situation 1: You are using the MP5K with Lightweight or Cold Blooded, and you are put up against someone across the room and you both get into a firefight with a SP'd MP5K. The three bullets you would attempt to connect would not hit fast enough, and you would be killed, thus ending the chances you would have had to win the game.

Situation 2: You are using an MP5K with Stopping Power and you are up against the same person across the room with a non SP'd MP5K and a firefight ensues. The two bullets you connect kill your enemy, you get your high-end killstreak and you could possibly win the game for team, plus more kills for you.

Now tell me, would Stopping Power have been necessary in this situation?

Please note that the following has been written without any bias, and does not reflect my opinion on the topic. It is simply useful information.

The MP5K, without attachments or Stopping Power:

Deals 40 damage when the target is within a range of 18.5 metres or less. 3 bullets are fatal. 2 bullets are fatal if they both hit the head.

Deals 20 damage when the target is within a range of 25 metres or more. 5 bullets are fatal. 4 bullets are fatal if they all hit the head.

The MP5K, without attachments but with Stopping Power:

Deals 56 damage when the target is within a range of 18.5 metres or less. 2 bullets are fatal, regardless of where they hit the target.

Deals 28 damage when the target is within a range of 25 metres or more. 4 bullets are fatal. 3 bullets are fatal if they all hit the head.

In general, Stopping Power reduces the amount of bullets required for a kill by 1.

In general, you will save 7 milliseconds per kill, because the time between bullets fired for the MP5K is 7 milliseconds. See "Statistics" section in the guide.
For best killing results, statistically, Stopping Power is a better choice than any tier 2 perks.

Hardline breaks your situation.

Arguing with ViS is nearly impossible. Just sayin'.

I'm neutral on the topic. Don't flame me, I'm just a bystander!

That's why I didn't list Hardline since all it is, is a killstreak perk, no worries though, I almost always bystand. I will go back and edit my "situations" to make them more sensible however!

Do you ever find that when you aim the gun tends to pull right? That usually keeps me from using it because that always happens 1 bullet before I kill the guy. XD

Yes it is necessary in that situation, but thats one example I'm talking about a practical class the whole game not just one situation lol

Awesome guide. It would be incredible if we had more guides this for different weapons.

I laffed.

Maybe I should modified the analogy to include purple sunglasses. Would that have allowed you to understand?

Look at it this way, SP is damn near essential for people with certain internet issues. Due to having hicktown internet I am always lagging behind most people. Stopping power gives me the chance to win that I would otherwise have if lag were non-existent.

I thought the sky was orange? Is it not?

Thanks! That means a lot. I'm more than willing to write more weapon-specific guides.

What do you guys wanna see? Assault rifles? SMGs? LMGs? Sniper rifles? Sidearms? Equipment?

Or do you not want to see more at all?

Would love to see more on SMG's and LMG's - some of the lesser used guns in the game. AR's are all over the place.

I'd like to see some LMGs. Maybe start with the RPD. I love that gun, but I'm gonna pick up the MG4 once more.
