Decided to go back and play mw2 today and wow the hacks were crazy. I got into 5+ challenge lobbies, 50% of games were speed hacked/headshots/quickscoped/flying etc. I went up 5 prestiges in an hour of play time by just joining 1 ground war game and prestiging. Wow i knew it would get bad but not this bad

It has gotten stupid just recently.

1 out of 4 games ive played in the past 2 weeks have been hacked lobbies.

I joined one lastweek, left it, got put back into it again afew times. Thought to myself i give up, so i waited for the game to end in the hope the hacking player would leave at the end...
But i got levelled to 70, which fecked me off because im one of those "I WANT TO DO IT ALL MYSELF! I HAVE TO UNLOCK EVERYTHING MYSELF OR THERE IS NO POINT IN THE GAME!!!" kinda people..

Soo, i left the lobby. Found that ALL of mt titles and Emblems had been unlocked. I had like, every single one..[Which make me furious]
Thought to myself, okay, i was on rank 42 before the hacker levelled me so like, not to worry..I prestiged.

Afew hours of more playing, went to change my title and emblem and found ALL of them gone.
Not the JUST ones i had gained from the hacked lobby but ALL OF THEM. >:[
And along the bottom of the screen, when the writing scroll, it said "YOU GOT FUCKING OWNED!!"
Also, all of the my stats in the "barracks" had reset to 0.

FML.


TL;DR-

I was put in the same hacked lobby afew times, got levelled, got all titles and emblems unlocked, prestiged, hours later ALL TITLES inc the ones i earned myself were gone and all my "barrack" stats were reset.

Same thing happened to me but in reverse.

First I got hacked in a bad way...all of my AR rifles were reset so I had no attachments or kills. So I spend a couple of days getting them all back and then last night I get hacked again...I guess some would say in a "good way" (but not me). Now all of all sudden I'm level 70, and have every weapon, title and emblem unlocked.

That really pissed me off. I wanted to earn those rewards myself, not have some snot-nosed 12 years d-bag just do it for me!!!!

So I know there's nothing I can do about it so I decide to just prestige again. 2 games later and it happens again!!! I'm boosted to level 70 with everything unlocked.

The one thing I've notice (at least for me) is that it seems mainly Domination lobbies are hacked. I really like Domination but I would say at least 75% of the Domination games I join have some type of hack going on. Either everyones jumping 50 feet in the air or cars are driving around in the sky and harriers are landing on my head. Guess I'll go back to TDM Express. I've never seen one of these lobbies hacked...although I'm sure they're out there just waiting for me.

I really didn't want to move on to Black Ops yet as I really enjoy MW2. Too bad a few low-life losers had to ruin it for everyone else.

Mostly all mw2 lobbys are now hacked....i played one in the chamber and zombies vs humans in 2 hours.....then the titles for all my custom classes changed to coloured writing

its kinda messed up but entertaining all in one messy soup

Well last night sealed MW2's fate for me....I was hacked yet again. This time I got into a Domination game and didn't notice it was even hacked until I ran up on some D-Bag capturing 'B'. I unloaded my full clip into him and he didn't die...he turns around and faces me and then this weird menu thing appears on my screen. I immediately leave the game but it's too late...all my guns are reset, 90% of my titles are gone and all my challenges are reset.


I've had enough of these low-life, scum sucking losers. I'm going out tonight to buy Black Ops.

We'll see how long it takes for these jerks to start hacking BO and when that happens, I think I'm going to be done with the COD series forever.

I thought MW2 was hopeless when I played it on PSN... hackers everywhere.

I played 3 hrs on xbox yesterday, not ONE hacked game. IMO, it hasn't changed much at all. Still the QS'ers, still some tubers, UMP everywhere, and all the other junk. Still a decent game, isn't any different really

That may be the case with XBOX, but I'm not about to go spend $250+ for an XBOX, $60 for MW2 for XBOX and then be expected to pay $50 per year so they'll let me play on their XBOX network.

A lot cheaper for my to stick with PS3 and just plop down $60 for BO.

I also see MW3 should be out in about 10 months so it should have equal or better anti-hacking protocols in place than BO has now.

You'd hope it would have a better anti-hacking system... but MW2 went to hell...

And i never said "buy an xbox" just saying that it's not hacked as much as the PS3 is for MW2. but since MW3 is less IW's part than MW2 was, it'll probably be a good game.

I did buy BO last night and just started on the campaign mode to get used to it.

I have to say, after a couple of hours of play, I'm still liking MW2 better. The sounds are terrible in the game...I mean come on -- the grenades sounds like someone popping a paper bag.

I guess I'll just have to get used to it.

I also saw Sony released a new security update yesterday. I'm thinking it probably only has to do with the Blu-ray part of the PS3 but I can dream that it will also fix the MW2 hacking as well

The only way the MW2 will be fixed is if IW release a patch to fix it.

Sony patch was to help protect the console, no details have been given other than it was a security patch, and quite rightly so.

Yeah...you're probably right, although I think what's going on now with the rampant hacking would be some what of a priority to them.

Again, just my wishful thinking. It's just a shame that such a good game could be ruined so easily by a bunch of d-bags with nothing better to do.

Well here's my update on this situation...

I did purchase Black Ops and...

I Hate It!

I started out with the campaign mode for a few hours. Then I tried the combat training mode.

After a couple of days of forcing my self to play it (in hopes that I'd get used to it) I was so disappointed with the game play and style, that I never went into a real multi-player match. From the graphics to the sounds, it just didn't feel right to me.

On a positive note, ever since Sony released their PS3 security update last week, I have not found or fallen into a single hacked lobby in MW2. So either Sony fixed the problem or I've just been extra lucky because in the few days leading up to the security update, almost every game I joined was hacked.

I sure hope it's fixed as I personally feel MW2 is way better than BO!

When was that security update released? I played with my friend on his PS3 Sunday and we had to shut it off, we did not get ONE clean game. And you should get used to Blops, of course it's new and going to be weird, but it's better in the end. If you have skill at least.

The PS3 security update came out last Thursday or Friday, Jan. 27th or 28th.

As I said, I may have just gotten lucky but Since Saturday (Jan. 29th) I haven't even seen a hacked lobby. I really only play TDMexpress and Domination. Domination is where it seemed every lobby I got into was hacked prior to the update.

My account was so badly hacked that I just created a whole new PSN account and started over with MW2. I see a ton of very low ranked players now as I know a lot of people also has to create new accounts for the same reason.

I know many, many people like BO and that's fine. It's just not for me. I read that MW3 will be out this November so I'll give that a try when it's released. Until then, I'm going to try and stay with MW2 as long as I can before I get hacked again.
