Call me old fashioned, but i like to earn my rewards, i was playing and all of the sudden everything unlocked, so i deleted my user, started over and it happened again. So, is there anyway to prevent this and if it happens can i fix it without deleting my user profile.modern warfare 2

No way to stop it. These are hacked lobbies that you're going in, by the choice of the matchmaking. You can't avoid them, only quit if you think it's happening. I think quitting the game to the XMB will stop it from happening, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Well, with my little time playing i did a little research on this, i was playing and some people talked about "10th lobbies" which if you dont know what they are they are either really bad or really good, they are a lobby made by a hacker that once you do a certain thing in that lobby you automatically get say, 10th prestige or all guns or all perks or a combination of those plus some others. i too am an old fashion player like to get my perks or guns on my own, and hope to never make it to a 10th lobby. see as you had this happen twice, you must be really unlucky. these 10th lobbies are considered cheating if you do them on purpose and usualy access to them is sold to game players for money. why would anyone spend $40.00 on a game then $40.00 more to have the game beat for them, its pointless, and spells out ULTIMATE LAYZE GAMER, im sorry to hear you had to delete 2 accounts that you probably worked pretty hard on. i hope that you never reach one of these 10th lobbies again. i can not express how much i hate these 10th lobbies

Nope, no problem with it on Black Ops.

From what I can tell, Infinity Ward (who make MW2) relied on the PS3's security system to protect the game. Obviously, that was fine until those "geniuses" hacked the system and opened it up to the world of modded lobbies, etc.

Treyarch (Black Ops creators) have a built in cheat prevention system of some sort. Hackers can be reported and dealt with by them instantly, rather than relying on Sony to try and ban them.

IW "say" they're looking at what they can do about the problem, but this is the company that also said they were going to patch the games problems and never did. Problems like the hole in the rock in Fuel (2nd map pack). Poor company.

I am a fake 10th prestige, but in some eyes still a pure. I didn't hack titles/emblems and guns/camos. I just wanted the level. I work for the unlockables.

loll...smells like a hacked lobby i was level 45 when i went in (3rd prestige) and when i came out of a hacked game i was level 70

also the scrolling bar at the lobbies which tells you what your friends are doing changed to say: " You Got F******* Owned!!!!!"....which i dont appreciate at all

yeah i hate hackers so bad!!! i almost want to throw away my MW2 & buy black ops! but im used to this one & actually like playing it..........for the most part. i tried black ops once. didn't like it much at first. but maybe i'll get it!
anyways, i been on MW2 for about a year now. i earned my way through the 1st prestige!! man that was a great feeling! well about a month ago i was playing & ended up in a hacked game. i been in a few before & usually jump right out once i start seeing guys jumping into the sky or the screen having big colored writing all across my screen. well this time i didn't even know it was a hacked game cuz one guy was doing really good & the rest seemed normal. thought it was just a honest bad ass player. then when the game was finished i ended up with everything unlocked. yeah kinda cool, just to see all the titles & emblems. i had all my guns & perks already so why mess with it. thought it would go away & not harm my hard earned work. well just recently i ended up in another hacked game. it all seemed fine til things started changing & i knew it was hacked. i backed out & it took most of my gun perks & it said i got owned!!. i was mad, but kept playing to unlock my stuff all over again. Then once again yet another hacked game came along & it took everything from me & left me with just a hand gun & smoke grenade on all my classes!! Talk about some messed up sh*t!! what the hell did i ever do to anyone? thought it was personal cuz i was doing good in each one of those games when it happened. i changed my name & started all over again!!

Sounds like PS3. There isn't as much hackers on the 360. I actually want to get into a challenge lobby. I don't care about Mw2, and having everything will make it fun to play.

I finally had hack free games on PS3 the other night, and it was mildly fun to play. We got a chopper gunner every game, it's just too easy now
