1. What do you think about the ACR, Some of you think it is very bad, but i prefer it above al AR. I think it is the best gun i have.


2. what are the best Perks, equipment, secondery, attachments, you can use whit the ACR.

I hate it, because it's too damn easy to use. A gun with no recoil? wtf, even the guns in Halo have recoil. Sure its damage might suck but you can't miss at range. I'd use stopping power, soh, and ninja cause that's all i use, but stopping power is probably necessary due to the low damage. Some like it with a silencer but i think the Tar-21 is a much better option silenced.

You are so right panstrofy, I discovered the tar-21 and de f2k. It requires much more skillz.

The TAR-21 is awesome and the F2000 is better being thrown at the enemy.

The latter is just the ACR with the rate of fire upped by 20% and the recoil upped by about 1000%.

This also makes it one of the funnest guns in the game, along with the Deagle!

ACR is just dull. Good at anywhere that isn't close range, but dull.

a nooby weopan....personally i feel the tar is alot better . I dont have a favourite AR but i think the famas, m16, scar and tar are all pretty good, i would normally use them silenced or with fmj (if unlocked)

my favourite perks are: marathon, hardline, ninja/sitrep

I've always really liked the ACR, i used to look forward to hitting 48, my KD ratio seemed to pick up quite alot from then on :P I like to use it with scavenger, Stopping power and either Ninja or Sitrep.

my opinion about it is : acr <3

i unlocked it(i'm 5th prestige) yesterday and got the acog within a few matches

it's my favourite AR and matches with allattachments(iron side,rds,holo,even with acog and thermal)

players can't appreciate anything nowadays-IW made an awesome game but just because it was that good everybody started complaining about something!!

The Tar is better. You either have not seen the weapon data or do not understand Call of Duty's damage model if you disagree with this. The Tar is the better weapon.

However a lot of people prefer the ACR. It is not the best gun, but plenty of people prefer it because the zero-recoil makes it ridiculously easy to use at mid-long range.


If anyone still disagrees (for that matter, go and learn how the damage system works in COD4 then look up the weapon stats) consider this:

A Ferrari F1 car is better than an Enzo, but I could drive an Enzo around a track faster than I could drive the F1. Not because the Enzo is better rather that it's performance is more easily attainable for someone of my driving skill.

You are correct, but there's something that has to be added to your statement. That is preference > power. One can do better with a worse gun if said whom likes it more than a good gun that one doesn't like. It's the same in Black Ops, people complain about the 74u but when there's far more assault rifles that statisticly are better, such as the Famas/AUG. But since people like the 74u it's abused to it's full extent thus creating the image that it's overpowered to the less intelligent people.

oh and the ACR totaly crushes the tar-21 at long ranges, doesn't matter if you're a good aimer since the ACR user can go full auto and skip the burst firing part. The ACR's drop off damage is a little further than the other assault rifles (alongside of the Famas) which makes it even more deadly at longer range.

Preference doesn't overcome a lack in power. Other weapon attributes, no recoil & it's rate of fire etc, become more important than power to some people.

I do better with a TAR (40 - 30) than an Intervention (>100 with SP) not because I prefer the TAR but because it's fully auto ROF and manageable recoil outweigh it's lower damage.

w/e this is just getting nit picky over wording For that reason, I'm out. I fully accept that statistically "lesser" weapons can be more effective than hard-to-use "better" weapons if they are too much harder to use.

I'm not saying "look at me I'm better than you because I can handle a TAR" I'm just trying to dispell the myth that weapons like the ACR and Intervention are the best, when they clearly are not.

ACR is a very good weapon...for first few goes.

But then you either play with it all the time or you play with something else.
I mean, seriously, recoiless assault rifle simply becomes boring after some time =P

I'm not saying that ACR is bad weapon, just that is, like pantstofry said, too damn easy to use.
