Default Am I getting booted by hackers?

I've been playin MW2 for about a year now on my PC. On the 9th prestige, and regularly score top half, and better than 1:1 kdr.

I find after playing one or two games, I get the message "lobby closed", or "lost connection". Then, sometimes STEAM has to resynch/reconnect before I can play again.

Sometimes I can play for an hour, and nothing happens, then I get into a lobby, play one game, do really well, then get booted.

Is there some kind of program people/hackers use to kick me out of a lobby? Is this what's happening?

I also keep ending up with a "Strict NAT" when I start playing, even when I reset my router, and I keep my settings the same. I just leave it now, and it doesn't seem to affect my playing or getting into games.

Default Re: Am I getting booted by hackers?

For me it's just the same, connectivity and stability are bad regardless of my NAT status, that's because IWnet is crap and doesn't always work as it should. Random disconnects in lobbies and while joining matches are common for me. (Couldn't migrate host/Game lobby closed etc.) Steam or hackers are not the cause of these problems.

If your NAT status says "strict", you can't be the host (don't know about "moderate"), and it usually takes longer to find lobbies.
Having switched to another ISP, I now can't get an "open" NAT due to technical circumstances, but it didn't even get worse, lol.
