So I know I'm waaay behind but I finally downloaded the map packs for MW2. I got bored and started playing it again and realized there were map packs to add on.

The thing is, normally I do ok online, kick butt sometimes get my butt kicked other times, whatever. But since I downloaded the map packs I've been getting absolutely demolished, even on the old maps that I'm totally familiar with! Its to the point where I wanna throw the damn controller sometimes! Anyone else experience this? Do they throw you into a higher experience category or something crazy like that? Its making me crazy!!

Maybe I'm just playing like crap, I don't know, lol.

The better players own the map packs, because they play the game more and decided to waste $30 on some pointless add-on.

I was thinkin' that might be the case too. Bummer, I don't even really like many of the add-ons, just traded a bunch of games in and didn'y know what else to get. Oh well.

And I guess the only way to go back to the way it was would be to uninstall the addons? Which would suck cause then I did totally waste the $30! But these people are ridiculously good, its not even really fun anymore! There's so many people runnin' around fast scoping with a sniper rifle its stupid.

Wow, that WAS a waste of 30 bucks. You should just keep playing, get to know the maps and you will get better. You learn from your mistakes and other player's too.

I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything, but you oughta try a different game altogether. I keep getting reeled in to the cod series and I have some fun, but unless there's some goal you're working toward, getting a lot of kills isn't a whole bunch of fun. I just bought Battlefield BC2 and it's been fun even though I hardly do good. It's just a change of pace, scenery, and gameplay.

I can reinstall them when I want to, I checked. I think I'll do it sooner or later, just was getting so damn frustrated!! But yeah, I'm sure if I play with the better players and take the time to learn the maps it will get better. A big part of it is that I don't know the maps yet, combine that with the caliber of the players and I was getting crushed, lol.

Yeah I hear ya, I was actually thinkin' about getting Battlefield, I heard it was pretty cool.

Yeah, just take some time to get used to the game, then re-install and learn those maps as well as the normal ones. A lot of the worse players moved to Black Ops when it came out, so those who are actually good at MW2 (hard to believe I can say that) stayed on it.

And for future reference, instead of posting twice consecutively, just edit the first post with what you want to add. Makes things a bit neater and doesn't make it look like spam.

LMAO, seriously kid? Sorry to mess up how "neat" the forum is! I've posted in several forums and never had anyone actually take the time to critique how I post(ed).

I was responding to two different people about two totally separate things so I felt two seperate responses was reasonable.

I've have Black Ops as well and I actually like MW2 better. I know the regular maps like the back of my hand, its just those new ones that are gonna take some time to learn! I suppose they will grow on me, lol. I thought I played this game alot but these players are crazy good!

Also, he wasn't critiquing how you posted, you're new here, and it's good etiquette to edit the post rather than posting twice, even if you're responding to two different topics. He was just trying to help you get acquainted to the forum.

Okay, I apologize for going off track again, but again, he's telling you how to post the right way because there are rules for this forum. Every forum has different rules. I suggest that you take a glance at them. It's not like he took a day to say it, he was just mentioning it, and it's polite to just follow suit. It helps make our moderators' GhostHands' life easier if she doesn't have to merge your posts. No need to get all worked up about it.

Also, GH feel free to delete, I think the point was made, even though he still thinks that the idea that forums have rules is funny...
