I'm an ACR guy, I like full-auto weapons. I tried switching things up for a burst-fire weapon because I can kill anybody with a Raffica. So I tried the FAMAS and went 14 kills-16 deaths on TDM.
Is the M16A4 any better than the FAMAS?

The differnce is negligable. The M16 iirc is slightly more powerful at range and has a glitch if you use the holo sight that stops damage drop off.
The Famas fires it's burst faster and is statistically the best AR to put a silencer on (ex fal).
tbh it's mainly a matter of preference. Me I love the Famas, it feels surgical, like a scalpel. I use it with silencer or red dot. My second fav AR after the scar.
I think I am correct in everything about the damage but if you want to check. Goto Denkirson.

Yes, if you use the Famas I highly recommend SOH. Makes a big difference. M16 it helps but can be easily managed without SOH.

I prefer the FAMAS over the M16 because I like the irons more and it doesn't have much recoil. I like it with SOH or silenced. I like the sound of the FAMAS too.

After talking about the Famas, used it today and was on a 23 killstreak with it (KS got 3 kills) before running out of time (never gonna get this f$%£%$**&ing nuke). About 16 of which came from the Famas thank you backup weapon Spas for the rest. So blow a raspberry to Pants and say Vive le France.

Wrong.

M16A4 is less powerful at range but has a faster reload and draw time. The Holo Sight reduces recoil to less than the FAMAS.

Also, the M16A4 and FAMAS both fire at 950 RPM per burst.

the m16 is definitely more powerful long range, but i prefer a mid-range weapon so i use the famas more, and like ghosthands sed the iron sights on the famas are better
