i was so excited about MW2 but when i played online was severly dissapointed. Campers galore, game moves way too fast, maps are ENOURMOUS and theirs no pattern to them. It has become so much more complex as well. In my opinion CoD4 is so much better. Not as frustrating, easy to grasp, plus what happend to the emotion in the voices in MW2, opfor screaming "OUR UAV IS ONLIINE!" to just a dull monotone our uav is online. Im just a severly dissapointed CoD fan, and a hardcore CoD4 lover. I just dont understand why they had tgo make the game so complex and fast. what are your opinions of the new MW comapred to the older one?

most gamers is probably going to tough out with COD4 and MW2 until BF:BC2 comes out.

then COD series, IW and Activision, is going to get thrown in the garbage for good probably.

I'd have to say they are pretty equal for me now, don't really have a favourite.
I have so many memories and good times playing with friends on Cod4, so it will always be in my top 5 favourite games of all time.

Meh. My opinion tends to differ, one day i like it then i love it then hate it. Imo cod4 is still better i still play it more (On pc now). I much prefer Spec Ops in mw2 as do my friends so its all good. And also mp now and again to whore the chopper gunner.

MW2 for me. I couldn't get into COD4 since I started late and just constantly got PWNed by people who had been playing the game for over a year.

TBH mw2 just feels like a map pack for mw with slightly slicker graphics but I think both games are great..!! I not been gaming for long but imo mw and mw2 are much better than anything else I have played online, I did not like waw but will be keeping cod4 and going back to it occasionally..!!

MOdern warfare 2 for the online multiplayer. Just becaue the perks and unlockables more varied than in COD4. COD4 had some great maps and right now i'm still learning the maps in MW2. Though i'm grateful for the unfamiliarity of some of the maps as COD4 had become predictable. It does seem like there are more campers this time around but that's because you're comparing it to a COD4 which had been played for two years and people knew the maps like the back of their hand. Definite benefit of MW2 is less run and gun snipers getting stupid kills.

Obviously MW2 has Spec Ops as well which makes it a better game too.

Though, I will confess, although i liked the single player campaign in MW2, I preferred the campaign in COD4. Maybe it was the fact that it was all fresh and i feel there were more nighttime missions.

Favourite missions in MW2 are the oil rig and gulag mission. I can honestly say, can't pick a single COD4 mission as my favourite. Loved them all.

Fed-Up

Singleplayer? Well, both were quite fun. Story is much better in CoD4, though.
Multiplayer? Well, that depends if you've got a console or a pc....
On console; no idea, I never play FPSs on console..
On PC; Go with CoD4. Dedicated servers, admins, developer console, and in my opinion better maps.
...servers with a good group of players, some decent rules, a nice rotation, and good admins... MUCH better than no choice of map, no rules, no admins...

How can you complain about "camper galore" then go on to say its to fast paced anyway complexity is good.

MW2 is better than COD4 personally it just seems like they've taken COD4 and added tonnes of new features.

So far I have like CoD 4 alot more, I just cannot tolerate the maps in MW2, they are pretty poor(this point isnt even arguable, the maps suck). I like the extra features for MW2, but the gameplay is far different from CoD 4. I mean, why can you continue a killstreak through SnD rounds, thats a horrible idea.

I loved how COD4 has this fast, furious yet arcade-y feel to it....its why I stayed on COD4. I loved how accurate some things are, and the levels were just memorable.

MW2 has the same arcade feel, but it also has larger levels, which is what was the problem with WAW. Lets not mention that they haven't fixed the whole lag and spawn problem. :-/

I like the fact its more streamlined, more arcade-y through multiplayer, but that's not the kind of arcade-feel I got from COD4 (levels were smaller, and a little complex). I love how MW2 shows you all these little details such as promotion, comebacks, revenge kills, and my favorite: the varying levels of multi-tiered kills. That's my favorite part of Unreal Touranment and similar games.

Actually maps in WAW is light years ahead of anything in COD4 or MW2, COD4 maps some were good, most including what came out of the map pack was downright awful, Creek might not be bad, but its not good by any means either.

matter of fact, I cant wait till Treyarch takes control of the next COD game so it wont be a total failure as MW2 has been.

I cannot wait till BF:BC2 comes out, since its actually a REAL ONLINE FPS MULTIPLAYER

I hate Treyarch. And I hate the ridiculous size of the levels. I loved the small-sized levels for its arcade feel.

no one really like treyarch at first, because what people is getting is more WWII crud which has gotten old in FPS games and in the COD series.

But you be surprised how many people changed their tune on the Callofduty.com forums in the last 2 months, they screaming for treyarch to take over everything and put IW out of its misery.

lets be honest, treyarch actually cares, and they have created moderately good game with WAW at least.
