That's what this thread is about, comparing guns from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to those in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Also, since no one is likely to concede any time soon I think this "debate" has run it's course. Unless absolutely essential please don't dwell any longer on the ACR vs. Skorpion issue in this thread, if you really must continue then take it to PM if you don't mind.

I have been away from reality for a while and i acted a little out of charachter..!! I know I mentioned your ego greig but to be honest I have been away so long that I go with the fun..!! The biggest ego belongs to vis and this is what this thread is all about, no matter what any moderator wants to say about it dante..!! 1 Vs many, I did not pick my side because I was a fanboy but because i listened to a bunch of people who had exceptional knowledge about a game i play and love and realised they love and appreciate it a whole lot more than i could understand..!! I guess the point is is that what vis says about the skorpion and acr is closer to fact than opinion (dare i say imo) So please accept the comparisons and choose your battles more wisely and move on to the next weapon comparison and make this thread more uber than it has already been..!!

P.S. sorry for the wall of text but i have not appreciated the etiquete of socially acceptable methods of relaxation in a while..!!

No, this thread is not about ego. That was brought into in after certain parties were steadfastly defensive of their beliefs, correct or incorrect.

so why did the thread turn from New `old` guns to skorpion Vs acr by people coming from the old forums when it is really not that big a deal..!! I am one of the newbs to this forum and people like me outnumber the egos and it is obvious to me that is what it is about..!! I only appreciate this thread because it has been entertaining but i could equally appreciate other newbs saying this place is full of peeps who are full of themselfs so i wont be back..!!

Skorpion vs ACR was part of the New "Old" Guns topic. The argument was over whether the ACR was the "New Skorpion".

IMO i think the skorpion feels similar to the pp2000 small low recoil gun that i can rely on when i have a sniper as my primary its like when i would use overkill on COD4 with a sniper was my primary and put a skorpion as my secondary

(not saying its not similar to ACR im just going back to all the guns again)

LOL! That made me laugh SO hard! I totally do that to people! I mean, sometimes, people are just so set in their thinking that they can't admit that they're wrong!

Sorry if the post is a bit off topic, since I haven't quite read everything yet...

[EDIT]: Alright, so, to start a new topic: Am I the only one who thinks the FAL is a BEAST gun? I mean, I think it does better than the G3 AND M14! Think about it: Higher max damage than the M14, and lower/the same recoil as the G3. Only my opinion just so you know. Am I the only one who thinks this here?

I used FAL for a while and unlocked a bunch of stuff on it. It's not as useless as some people say, but it just doesn't really excel at anything. There's always another gun that does it better. It has a good clip size (tar21 beats it), decent DPS at range (M16 beats it). The only thing it just isn't cut out to do is close range. Not to mention it gets annoying when you have to frantically click at everything.

it does more damage than the m16, just that the m16 is a 3 shot burst

Once again, you're ignoring my argument. You're asking me to prove that the guns are identical when I have explicitly stated that they are not and are only similar in that they serve the same role by being zero-recoil guns with low DPS. For your information, both guns fire at approximately 850rpm at 20 damage at max range.
.
So say that they are similar in these traits ALONE. I have no idea if they are similar or not, nor do i care that much, i was rubbish with the skorpion but good with the G36c.

All I'm saying VIS, is that in an argument you cannot pick and choose bits of evidence that supports your point of view. Well, you can, but you should expect to be rubutted with other bits of evidence that refutes your point of view. That or state clearly in your fist statement that this what you are comparing. You didn't do that.

This is kind of magnified since the G36C was still useable while the F2000...

The vector, arguably, is also like the Skorpion but without its shotgun element. It's a bit hard to come up with a valid parallel for that, though.
your first statement was a very generic and sweeping statement. you saw this form a single point of view, and then said that the guns are similar. Take out the human element, movement of player, ability to aim etc and you still have other variables that define the gun yet you have chosen to ignore that. I find your posts in this trehad patronising and arrogant.

Especially

You post like that then you should expect people to react the way they have.
