Anyone notice that some guns have been put in Modern Warfare 2 to replace the ones form Cod4?

FAL - New M14

FAMAS - New M16

Scar/ACR - New M4

UMP 35 - New MP5

Intervention - New M40AE.

The Ironic thing is that all of those guns except for the M40 return in the game in some way, shape, or form.

Though I would say the FAL replaces the G3, you're still correct.

Pretty much both, i said M14 though, because that's the gun it looks more like.

id say its more of a g3, the fal sucks compared to the m14, but its the only semi auto rifle we got so..

I think the UMP is quite different from the CoD4 MP5, for one thing it seems to have even worse recoil, probably due to it's insanely high damage, but still I find it almost unplayable.

Also, not sure about the SCAR-H=M4 comparison, i'd definitely agree with the ACR though. The SCAR (iirc) does 40-30 which gives it more in comparison with the AK.

mp5k=mp5
intervention=r700(because it sucks)
m4=m4

M4 = M4
TAR-21 = AK47 and G36C love child.
SCAR-H = G3, though automatic.
FN FAL = somewhere between the M14 and G3. Slightly weaker at range than the M14, but having the recoil of the G3.
M9 and USP .45 are the same as the CoD4 ones, though they have a larger "horizontal" recoil.
.44 magnum = CoD4 Desert Eagle. Large (but manageable) recoil, high RoF, ungodly damage. The new Deagle just sucks.
P90 and Mini-Uzi seem to be identical, though the Uzi certainly has reduced recoil.
MP5K = MP5. The K seems to have a slightly higher RoF (and as such, recoil), though.
The AK47 is identical to the CoD4 version. Right down to being the only assault rifle that idles. Appears to have that RDS/Supressor glitch fixed, though.
M1014 is the same, though with better range. Similarly, the SPAS-12 seems almost identical to the W1200 with increased range.
Barret is identical.
Intervention = M40A3
WA2000 ... possibly Dragunov. I'm not sure, though it'd make sense.
M21 is identical.
FAMAS/M16 = M16.
PP2000 = Skorpion?
I'd say the ACR, F2000 are just completely new. No counterparts in CoD4.

I don't use LMGs.

I'd consider the UMP .45 about the same as the MP40 in WaW (low RoF, high recoil, high damage and range), and the Vector the same as the PPSH-41 (devestatingly high RoF, low damage and recoil). Ranger is certainly the counterpart to the double barreled shotgun; and despite being attachment, I'd say the MasterKey shotgun seems to fit with the Trenchgun.

Like i said, it seems that they have put guns in the game to replace new ones. Then i said those guns appear in MW2 in some way shape or form.

I also stated the reason why the G36C is the F2000. We're talking about actual game role, not similarities in firing speed (which is what you based that on).

IIRC the Skorpian had a lot of recoil the ACR is much more accurate and is an assault rifle so I wouldn't say they serve the same role.

You remember incorrectly, then. All guns (with the exception of shotguns) are also perfectly accurate.

Well the skorpian has a lot more recoil than the ACR made a lot of people hate it I know very few people who actually liked the gun they all hated for that very reason, ACR is a completely different gun.
