Just unlocked the F2000 and I really don't get where all the hate is coming from. It's easily the fastest firing assault rifle, it's got pretty good irons and yeah it has recoil but about as much as the 74u from CoD4 (God I miss that gun...). It's pretty much my second favorite gun of all time (ACR is my top). So, what exactly does everybody hate about it?

The one thing I hate is how the Red Dot Sight most definitely glitches it to have like twice as much recoil on it and breaks the gun like Thermal on the UMP .45 breaks it (But then again Thermal on an SMG is just stupid).

Fastest firing means crap-all when it still kills slower than a higher-damaging assault rifle. The SCAR and TAR both make it utterly obsolete. Both of those weapons require one less shot to kill at all ranges.

Much like the G36C was overshadowed by the M4 in CoD4?

Still a fun weapon to use in my opinion. The F2000 that is, G36C was a chore.

One other thing I like about the F2000 is the recoil can equate to headshots sometimes if it's aimed at the upper chest.

I played a couple of games with it when I unlocked it before I prestiged...thought it was crap. The recoil was just insane and I was finding I was getting owned while I was trying to use it...so quickly decided that any of the other assault rifles would be better so my KDR didn't get hurt too bad!

Eh. I use(d, I prestiged) it from time to time. I find it pretty fun to use, but the firepower advantage it has over the ACR and M4 is negated by its godawful recoil. Though it does have a lot more vertical recoil than horizontal... it doesn't seem to bounce about as much as the high power assault rifles. It tears shit up when close, though, that's for sure. May or may not be better than the TAR-21 at a very specific range because of the recoil... Eh.

I found it to be one of the easiest guns to get headshots with. The weird thing is because of the recoil on the gun it was easier. How? Well I noticed that when aiming at the body, the recoil would put the next shots higher then where I was initially aiming. It made it terribly easy to unlock the other camos for the gun.

Stats only tell part of the story. A player's style is equally important - for example, I love the FAL as (like the G3) it suits my aiming style but for some weird reason I never got on with the M14 which I know a lot of semi-auto fans prefered. As for the G36c I also preferred it over the M4 even though I can't deny the stats - for some reason I just got all challenges on it much quicker than even the AK. Why? I'm not sure, either IW write in some extra weapon behaviour no-one's found yet (maybe tiny differences in mobility or speed of ADS?) or it comes down to the one factor with no specific definitions - the user.
I often win the "most classes changed" or "most weapons used" accolades - this game should be about discovering how to best use each weapon, not just a mathematical decision, that would be very boring indeed.

My first few games with the F2000 weren't as bad as I thought it would be, but after a bit I started hating the irons and the recoil was way too much. If you aimed at someone, started shooting, after a few bullets you simply couldn't see where you were aiming because of the recoil. I also found it to be very weak.
Once I unlocked the RDS, I said to myself "hey, maybe now I'll be able to do better with it", then as soon as I actually saw the damn RDS I just gave up on the gun. It's completely ridiculous and makes everything really dark. For maps like Estate it's impossible to use.
In conclusion, for me, the F2000 is the worst assault rifle.

to much recoil and in my opinion i use it as a smg spray and pray which means i dont scope in with it i hip fire.

I like it, it has one of my favourite iron sights, it's accurate enough if you burst fire, and the rate of fire is great for close range plus I always SP with it. The MARS sight(RDS) ruins it thou.

I used it for 30 seconds n never touched it again.

Statwise this is the second strongest AR ingame (note: based on old stats, i gotta redo my calcs), yet the recoil makes the gun useless.
Tar outclasses it statswise on top of that to.

I like the power and accuracy, but the recoil does cause you to shoot in burst. Thats it only real downside. The looks of the gun and the camo on the gun looks sick. Iron sights are good, but RDS is good, but looks weird and also limits your sight when aiming down them. My top 5 assault rifles

It actually will out-fire a power AR [scar/tar/ak/etc.] Assuming you can aim.

And that's without stopping power, I haven't had any trouble with it, as a matter of fact more people are starting to use it and the Tar. When I first used the Tar-21 [I have love/hate, I was a huge MTAR fan from RB6V] I was the only one that used it, 4 prestiges later I see at least one every game.

Without stopping power, time to kill in close range (seconds):

SCAR-H: 0.3
AK47: 0.28
TAR-21: 0.24
F2000: 0.27.

With stopping power:

SCAR-H: 0.2
AK47: 0.18
TAR-21: 0.16
F2000: 0.2

(1 / [rounds per minute] * 60 * shots to kill = time to kill)

Without stopping power, the F2000 slightly edges out the AK47 and the SCAR-H. Otherwise, the gun has the same ttk as the SCAR-H with stopping power, and a bigger ttk than the other high power assault rifles. (Excluding the FAL, M16 and FAMAS, the latter of which fire about as fast as the F2000 burst anyway).

Well, without SP, the F2000 is great if the killing time is all you care about. It uses an extra bullet to kill, and has massive recoil. I'm not bothering with ttk at long range... because it's the F2000. It will, however, outdo the M4 and ACR in fire power.

one of the most underated guns

people become fixated with recoiless guns like the acr
and think they can use every gun in this way

if you hold down r1, run round with scavenger and use a whole clip to kill a person
no one expected you to be good with the f2000

and yes its a headshot beast got fall for it under 600 kills which is good considering the tar has just as much recoil but hardly ever headshots

Really, it's not the people that don't have skill, but it's the weapon that requires no skill to use. Why use a harder weapon when you can have one pretty much equally powerful with practically no recoil?

Because a skilled player with a gun that is harder to use, but more powerful, will very likely do better than a skilled player with an easy to use, but weak, gun. I see the ACR as a bit of noob gun because of the recoil; it's satisfying to get into range with my TAR-21 and just tear whoever the poor sap who chose the ACR up.

Alternatively, I lost count of how many times I was killed because the ACR I was using couldn't put the target down fast enough.

Also, harder to use guns are just plain fun. I for one can't wait to reach level 52 again, and get my hands on the M240.

Eh, I used it to get all the attachments except the fmj bullets. I forget what I thought of it before, but now I can't stand using it. I try to use every gun to get most of the attachments (except fmj). But, I also didn't like the tar-21 until i got a silencer. I think it helps reduce recoil. But, like everyone else I hate the recol a lot! I'm use to accurate guns like the acr and m4 so I guess thats just my style.

I tried using it once, got a 10-18 game or something like that.
After that it was back to my thrusty ACR and M16A4.
