Okay, so after fixing a graphics issue, the main menu now shows up, and I can play Multiplayer. My first match was estate, and I spawned, walked through a building and died by claymore, and the match ended a minute later. Upon defeat, I saw that my team was random people, against a full team of clan members. Well....

The second match, the teams were exactly the same. This can't be luck, can it? Is it pre-arranged to do this? Secondly, at which point do you unlock whatever perk it is that makes you not show up on chopper gunner? Because oh my freaking god that is ridiculous. I got spawnkilled three times without leaving a building (on wasteland, so they were thin walls but still).

Please tell me it gets better....?

MW2 has an HORRIBLE team balancing. Yet I recommend playing mercenary TDM if you want to start so you dont get spawn trapped by clans. You should play with some more experienced players to learn and a good way to learn from your mistakes is to watch killcams sometimes ( unless its obvious that you walked in a claymore or a chopper gunner spawned killed you).

It's pretty safe to assume that Freespace is capable of playing MW2 now; his post is from 2009. I've played with him off and on since then and he knows what's up. But your advice on playing with more experienced people can certainly help others that are in the same position.

Eventually you would get better perks, better weapons and better equipment. So it gets better.

I also get into games like this. I can't stand it when I join a game of TDM and my team is down 4,000 points, or there is a bunch of air support up. The matchmaking is really annoying and terrible.

Joining these games was one of the worst things about this game. Commando and omalol were the worst though.

The last time I tried to play MW2 I got dumped into the same game twice, first time I left it was because it was a hacked server. Then it dumps me right back in. I hate that the game isn't intuitive enough to know you left the match for a specific reason. Oh wait, it wouldn't be an issue if we had dedicated servers like MW2's predecessors.

I will never forget the one day I played CoD4, and was dropped into the same game 9 times before I just chose a different game mode.
