Ive been unsure about what to run with as secondary ever since I gave this a serious thought.
I always run with scavenger (cant go without it with my playingstyle) & im a reloadwhore, so i honestly dont feel like any machine pistol/shotgun/handgun is worth using. I never really bother swapping to secondary for CQC anyhow (with stuff like g18 akimbo or shotguns i mean obv),which would be pretty much the only purpose left. I pretty much trust in my ump/tar 24/7. Which leaves me with 2 options: launchers & OMA. - stinger would be my instant choice, yet i feel it is to big & the tip sticking out would give away my position (i always run stealth setups) - thumper is what seems a logical second choice, i play HQ for bout 95% of my games. It can be pretty useful to clear out enemy's HQ. - AT-4 could be somewhat useful, since it isnt as big as stinger. Though it lacks power to oneshot harriers. And to shoot down UAV's your prim weap is sufficient. - OMA seems like the best idea atm. Ump w oma, sp. When id run out of ammo or need to shoot a KS reward down, oma to ump w stinger, cb. Eventually I could set up a third class, which would be a copy of the first, incase i go out of ammo. OMA like this seems really useful, since if id go even further with this idea, i could oma to a class w ninja, cb & a ghillie when i call in CG, so i can never be found (obv only if the ammo from my OMA class was sufficient. |

Between the choices I'd have to say use an anti-air launcher. Because it sounds like to me your not really going to use it anyway, so maybe one day you find yourself getting abused by a harrier and decide you want revenge...it'll be right there on your back.

Stinger is the best option imo, for the reason that it has a quicker lock on from (what I can tell), you get 2 missiles with it with scavenger Pro, and there is no restriction to where you can shoot it, i.e open area with a neon shoot me sign above you.

I'd use a pistol with Tactical Knife, especially with the setups you are hooked to.

Javelin has two rounds i believe. I dont use it, but its more well rounded, as it can take out other things. If the other team sucks and isnt getting alot of killstreaks in the air then the stingers a waste
Note: I do use a stringer too, just have it on my anti air class..

Heres a thing to consider: Every weapon has a certain loadout weight, and choosing a weapon like a Javalin or Stinger will slow you down even if you have your primary weapon out. So if you could care less for a secondary, you might as well a "light" weapon like a pistol or machine pistol so you can run faster with your primary weapon.
Now I have heard however if you pickup a weapon on the ground, it has no effect on your run speed. So if you pick up a riot shield, you can move as fast as you were normally. |

What the hell? That's not even true. You move at the speed that your primary weapon dictates; 100% for sniper rifles/SMGs, 95% for ARs, 87.5% for LMGs and 80% for shields.

I'd bite the bullet and take the few deaths from your pointy stinger, for some reason I only ever used At-4 and then stinger when available, and took down every chopper/heli instantly when they appeared, didnt think anything of it, untill one day i tried using a shotgun - and felt like i was missing something, sort of vulnerable because I couldnt get killstreaks down - especialy because nobody else bothered. Also, not as it matters much, because of it, I have a shit load higher score then any of my mates, even those quite ahead in terms of rank.

My weapons of choice are the UMP .45, M240 and the TAR-21 (AK47 when I get it).
I'll run with either the TMP or M1014. While the TMP isn't particularly powerful, the recoil is tiny, and there's no movement penalty when I aim down the sight. On the other hand, the M1014 gives me massive up close firepower - the spread is quite large, and the guns hits harder than the striker, while not running out of ammo as quick as the ranger. With Stopping power (but not steady aim), both guns shine. I only use launchers for dedicated support classes - cold blooded with scavenger and a stinger. However, handguns are useful for snipers and CQB - they have very fast draw times. (I'm not sure, the G18 might be better.. but ugh, ass and recoil.) Good if you run out of ammo at a bad moment and don't have Sleight of Hand equipped, or just got taken by surprise when sniping. In my eyes: Shotguns and machine pistols are when you're expecting an enemy and need some serious close range firepower. Handguns are emergency weapons: quick switch and hit hard. Launchers are anti-vehicle, except the Thumper. Though the Javelin is alright for cutting a path off, and the AT4 is a wonderful room clearer.

The AT-4 Is an amazing weapon with Scavanger equipped. I suggest using that. I think ViS posted a video a while ago showing its use.

USP or AA_12
-USP.45 w/ FMJ or Tactical knife is awesome. Great power and range -AA-12 is a great up close shotgun Those two guns would be good to use

Also gonna try OMAing like I described, since it seems to have potential on paper, yet i never used oma a single time before so. |
