ok so here's what happened. there was 5 of us in one party and there was a second party with 6 members and a single player just playing the game. it was HC s and d.

obviously it was my party and the single player versus the other 6. we played the other team for several games and went 10 straight rounds undefeated. nobody backed out/rejoined the entire time but when we went into the next game a player from my party was put on the other team and likewise one of theirs on ours. this happened for 3 straight games and each time it was a different players that were 'traded'. after that final game their team left and when new players joined my party was together again

has this happened to anybody before or know a possible reason why? my initial response was matchmaking but surely it cant break up the party. can it?

You guys were in a party? I've never heard of a party being broken up and one put on the other team before. Perhaps the system got confused and it was a glitch? I'm not an expert, but that's my bet.

We've had parties broken up too. Sometimes we found one of our players on the other team. Also, remember that players do get traded between games if not in a party. Theoretically they shouldn't be traded when in a party, but it still does happen sometimes.

Probably just a small glitch. Sometimes when I am in a party, I will get put into the same map with my teammates, but in a totally different game with different players. Pain in the neck I'm sure, but its nothing a re-invite can't fix after the game.

ye i've had it broken up before when going into games that are in progress but never in the lobby with 2 full team of players.

it was quite fun though, seeing who could kill the one on the enemy team just for the bragging rights and hope he didnt kill you lol.

i just never seen that happen before and it sparked my curiosity lol. thanks for the info

Hmm...i've had players in my party moved into other games before but never on to the other team. Seems like IW screwed up the coding on something that seems so simple.

Has happened to me and my mates loadsa times but we dont mind as a lot of the time we just join each others games and play against each other anyway, can be funny..!!

Oh definitely, whenever I kill my clan/teammate I feel bad, same thing when I get killed, because my clan has some tempers on them, lol.

Ah, this happened to me once. I was playing softcore seach and it was me plus a party of 5 against 6 clan members. one of the five would go on to the enemies team, and vice versa. I guess it was just balance teams? Anyways, both teams had 3 points and I was the last one standing, killed 5 with a knife and the last one with a oneshot kill no-scope in final stand.
